Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Arcanist monks train with the uses of magic and learn how to counteract them at all points. With time and training, any Arcanist can master the manipulation of magic in all forms. Arcanist training allows one to become aware of magic around them, shutdown magical effects, and the ability to cast spells. With more training, Arcanists learn to use excess magics from powerful abilities and spells to harm their opponents more. Advanced members seeking better protection can use materials around them to change their physical bodies to suit their needs. A master Arcanist can use the Ki in their body to replicate an ability or spell they have seen or felt before.

Magical Replication

17th-level Way of the Arcanist feature

Your study of magics has granted you the ability to see and replicate any magical effect you see by expending your own Ki.

You can attempt to recreate a magical effect you see within 60ft as a reaction or a bonus action on your turn.

For a spell, the amount of Ki points is equal to 1+ the spell’s level. For other effects the Dm sets a Ki amount without telling the player, the player says the amount they are spending, then the DM tells the player if they spent the correct amount. if so the PC recreates the effect.

This can be used proficiency modifier time per short rest
