Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

The Arcrystals that litter Noitera have fascinated you. Enthralled by their mysterical energy and connection to the Crystalein religion, you have decided to research their power and have found ways to utilize their potential far more than just crafting weaponry or ammo. The Arcrystal Arcanist uses Spell-Etched Arcrystals for their spell-casting, and has many unique traits not shared with other spell-casting classes.

Arcrystal Foraging

Your knowledge on Arcrystals enables you to find them wherever you go. When making investigation checks, roll a d20 with your spell-casting modifier. every 10 and above, you will find an Arcrystal of a random quality and element. (up to the DM's discretion.)

Arcrystal Etching

Allows one to etch Elemental spells onto particular Arcrystal types for later use. Roll a 1d6 upon etching these arcrystals; 1-2 is poor quality, 3-4 is average quality, 5-6 is excellent quality.

Poor Quality Etched Arcrystals can only be used once, and at the lowest level available for that spell. Average quality can be used twice and can be up to 5th level, Excellent quality can be used up to three times and can be up to 9th level.

Etched Arcrystals act as an enhanced version of Spell Scrolls, allowing use of Elemental Spells without using a Spell Slot up to the amount of times specified.

Only two Etched Arcrystals can be made a day.

Arcrystal Surveyor

Creates a Small or Tiny Arcrystal Construct that can have three modes, chosen at the time of creation. Only one Arcrystal Surveyor can be active at a time. Each Arcrystal Surveyor has an AC of 15 and 1d4 Hitpoints. If an Arcrystal Surveyor is destroyed, it can be restored using the Material Components listed at the bottom of the description as well as an Hour's worth of time. Usage of the Mending spell will also heal the Surveyor for 1d4 hitpoints, not to exceed the Surveyor's maximum. One Arcrystal Surveyor can be created at dawn each day without using Materials.

The Arcrystal Surveyor has three modes:

Elemental Generator - Choose an Elemental Arcrystal with which to create your Surveyor out of. (Lightning, Fire, Cold, Acid.) As a Bonus Action, you can activate the Elemental Generator to have one of your Attacks/Spells do an additional 1d6 damage of the chosen Elemental type. This can only be done up to an amount of times equal to your INT Modifier. Additional Components required to restore this mode: An Arcrystal of the corresponding Element.

Search Mode - This mode is the base mode the Surveyor is constructed at. The Surveyor will have advantage on WIS (Perception) Checks, and INT (Investigation) Checks. You can send the Surveyor to passively collect Arcrystals for a number of hours. Upon its return, roll a d20 for the amount of hours spent searching. (two hours = 2d20). The resulting number is the amount of Arcrystals found. One can then roll a 1d4 per hour, and have each corresponding batch be of the Element rolled. Optionally, you can declare an Elemental type and have the Surveyor attempt to collect only of that Element. For each hour, there is also a 1d6 chance for the Search to fail. 1-2 is failure (No Arcrystals found), 3-4 is moderate success (Stated amount of Arcrystals found), 5-6 is Critical Success (Doubles amount of Arcrystals found.)
The Surveyor cannot be used or recalled while it is searching. Components required to restore this mode: A singular glass lens.

Life-support Mode - Utilizing an Excellent-quality Divine Arcrystal, one can fashion a Surveyor that can revive the User to 1 hitpoint when they go Unconscious, dismantling the Surveyor in the process. During normal operation, the Surveyor can emit a 10-foot by 10-foot aura that heals any creature inside it for 1d4 hitpoints per round. Components required to restore this mode: An Excellent-quality Divine Arcrystal

Material Components: Three copper gears and an amount of Arcrystals totaling 10 gold.

  • You can now make three Etched Arcrystals, and can roll an additional 1d10 while Foraging.

Arcrystal Evoker

Using your knowledge of Arcrystel Etching and Arcrystel Surveyors, you can now craft a handful of automaton weapons using Components. These weapons float, can take an appearance you desire, and carry a damage type of your choosing upon creation. (Bludgeoning, slashing, etc.) These weapons will stay in a 5-foot square by you unless, as a bonus action, commanded to move your movement speed and strike an opponent within that range. If a weapon's movement does not land them at a target for that round, they will magically teleport back to your position, they will also teleport after hitting or missing an enemy. Each weapon has an AC of 18 and 1d8 hitpoints. Their initiative is bundled, and will take it immediately after yours. If you base the weapon off of an in-game item, it will carry the base stats of that item. (Copies a Vicious Rapier, will only take base Rapier stats.) These weapons count as magical and can emit one audible noise of your choosing while striking.

You can make an amount of weapons equal to your INT modifier+2 per day.

Required Components: 1 Etched Arcrystal for each weapon.

  • You can now make four Etched Arcrystals, and can roll an additional 1d10 when Foraging.

Arcrystal Enhancements.

Your Arcrystal mastery allows you to Enhance particular Arcrystals.

  • For an INT Modifier+2 times, can reroll the Quality of an Etched Arcrystal, however that Arcrystal must keep the second Quality. There is a coin-flip possibility (With the called side in the Player's favor) to have a rerolled Quality be "Enhanced", which gives an additional damage die to the spell Etched if it is a damaging spell, as well as gives it an additional Charge before the Arcrystal breaks.
  • Instead of adding a damage type, allows one to have their Arcrystal Evoker weapons, as their action, cast a spell that was etched onto the Etched Arcrystal used to make them, up to the amount of times specified by the Quality of the crystal.
  •  You can etch five Arcrystals a day, and can roll an additional 1d10 when foraging.
