Base Class: Monk
you have learned to channel your ki through the flowing dance that other call fighting. the longer you maintain your concentration on the dance the more powerful your ki becomes.
artful fighting: to you fighting is less of a competition and more of a form of meditation, when engrossed in the dance of combat the whole of your being is united in one single purpose. starting at 3rd level, when you are engaged in combat you have advantage on wisdom saving throws.
Battle Dance
starting at 3rd level you may use your action to initiate a battle dance, it then lasts for 1 minute and requires concentration. for each round that you concentrate on the dance you gain an additional feature. the battle dance automatically ends if you make an attack with a non monk weapon or ranged weapon, use no movement on your turn, fall prone, are grappled, or are otherwise prevented from moving.
- Round 1:You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls with your unarmed strikes and melee monk weapons, and you gain advantage on opportunity attacks. Additionally, while your Battle Dance is in effect, you are surrounded by harmless sensory effects in a 5 foot cylinder around you such as falling leaves, light rain or snow, or beams of sunlight, ect.
- Round 3: you gain a +1 bonus to AC
- round 5: when you hit a creature with a melee attack you can deal damage equal to half the damage dealt to another creature within 5ft of you
- round 6: your flurry of blows grants one additional unarmed strike
you have one use of the battle dance per long rest after that use you must expend 1 additional ki point to initiate it for each time you have done so since your last long rest.
Dance of the druids
you learn to weave your own ki into the ki of the nature that surrounds you. Starting at 6th level you are able to use your dance to cast spells from the druid spell list, when you gain this feature choose two 1st level spells and one second level spell from the druid spell list or one of the spells listed at the bottom of this page. in addition to this you also choose a cantrip from the druid spell list, you may cast that cantrip at any time. you battle dance is modified in the following ways
- round 2: you can cast the chosen level 1 spells by expending 1 ki point
- round 3: you can cast any of the chosen spells by expendin 2 ki points, when you cast a spell this way treat it as though it was cast using a 2nd level spell slot
- round 6: you may expend up to 2 additional ki points when you cast a spell, if you do so treat that spell as if it was cast using spell slot of one higher level for each ki point expened this way
Whenever you gain a level in this class you may replace the chosen spells and cantrips with new ones. at 9th level you learn one additional cantrip and one additional 2nd level spell, at 13th level you learn one third level spell and your battle dance is modified in the following ways; round 4: you may cast any of the chosen spells by expending 3 ki points, when you cast a spell this way treat it as though it was cast using a 3rd level spell slot, at 15th level you learn and additional 2nd level spell.
dexterity is your spell casting ability for spells cast using this subclass.
Whenever you cast a spell using this feature that would require concentration you may concentrate on both this feature and that spell, you make individual concentration saves at for each one.
spell attacks made using this feature count as monk weapon attacks
when your battle dance ends all spells cast using this feature also end
Swift Dance
starting at 11th level your battle dance is modified in the following ways
- round 3: you gain advantage on strength and dexterity saving throws
- round 4: you gain a +1 bonus to all dexterity based checks
- round 5: you when you take the attack action on your turn you may make one additional attack
Dance of Divinity
starting at 17th level your battle dance allows you to utilize and control the ki of creatures around you. your battle dance is modified in the following ways
- round 2: at the start of each of your turns any number of target creatures within 5ft of you must make a wisdom saving throw, if they fail that saving throw they take necrotic damage equal to a roll of your martial arts die, you gain hit points equal to half the total damage dealt this way
- round 5: whenever you kill or knock a creature unconscious you regain 1 ki point
- round 6: you may use your action to force any number of target creatures within 5ft of you to make a wisdom saving throw, any creature that fails that save is stunned until the end of your next turn
- round 10: you may exspend 4 ki points to cast any spell of 5th level or lower from the druid spell list or one of the spells listed at the bottom of this page, when you cast a spell this way treat it as though it was cast with a 5th level spell slot, a spell cast using this ability does not end when your battle dance ends, you may cast a spell this way only once per long rest.
