Base Class: Monk
The way of the Gentle Fist is a monastic tradition focused around extreme control. Followers of this path have spent years studying the mortal body and learning its strengths, weaknesses, and the very limitations of it. They’ve become experts of anatomical precision, and use this knowledge to greatly enhance their own combat prowess and ability while also providing fine Ki control, even channeling the Ki of others to manipulate and enhance or limit their abilities.
Pressure Points
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can target enemy pressure points for special effects. Upon hitting an unarmed attack, you can choose to do 1 damage + your dex modifier: Do one of the following
- It must succeed a Constitution saving throw or gain disadvantage on its next attack.
- It must make a Strength saving throw. If it fails, you can knock it prone.
- It can’t take reactions until the end of your next turn.
Channel the Spirit
At 6th level, you gain the ability to heal yourself and manipulate the ki of others to do the same. As an action, you can restore hit points equal to two times your monk level to yourself or an ally. If it’s used on an ally, you can grant them inspiration. After using it twice, you must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Tranquility
Beginning at 11th level, you can enter a special meditation that surrounds you with an aura of peace. At the end of a long rest, you gain the effect of a sanctuary spell that lasts until the start of your next long rest (the spell can end early as normal). The saving throw DC for the spell equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Harnessing Touch
At 17th level, you gain the ability to drain ki from an enemy. Once per turn, if you hit a target with an unarmed attack, you can choose to deal 1+dex modifier damage, gaining 1 ki point and inflicting 1 level of exhaustion on the target
