Base Class: Monk
The Way of the Passive Fist teaches to avoid confrontation where ever possible. These Monks learn martial arts in order to avoid combat rather than engage. However when pressed they are as handy with their fists as any other, using their excellent reactionary abilities to punish their foes.
Passive Technique
Passive Fist Monks excel in reaction rather than action. Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, Instead of using a reaction you can spend a Ki point.
Parry
You become adapt in avoiding attacks. At level 3 as a reaction you can add 2 to your AC against one melee attack that would hit you.
Shifty
When pressed you can move yourself into a more advantageous position. At level 3 when attacked you can move 5ft without incurring opportunity attacks as a reaction, the damage of the attack still resolves as normal if hit.
Improved Deflect Missiles
Your ability to avoid damage extends further when being attacked from afar. At 6th level, you gain an extra 1d10 for Deflect Missiles for the purpose of reducing damage.
Guided Setup
You can break an opening in your opponents defence, making further attacks more likely. By 11th level, When making an attack against a creature you can spend a 3 ki points to cause all melee attacks to have advantage on the creature until the start of your next turn.
Return to Sender
You can now use the weight and momentum of your attackers against them. By 11th level, When a creature misses you with a melee attack roll, you can spend 1 ki point to cause that attack to hit one creature of your choice, including the attacker, that you can see within 5 feet of you.
Passive Healing
You can now take a moment to meditate as if you were doing so for an hour. At 17th level, on your turn, instead of making an attack you can spend ki points to regain HP as if you were spending a hit die on a short rest, there is no limit to the amount of ki points you can use to heal.
