Monk
Base Class: Monk

In the Nineleaves Monastery, everybody knows the legend of the creation of their tradition: a thornbush Dryad, whose name has been lost to time, appeared before three young monk students, Draïn, Gwraidd and Rhisgl, who were inspecting the jungle; the Dryad was extremely sick, and only nine yellowed sharp leaves remained attached to her body. Over the course of nine days, the Dryad taught the group how to use their Ki to help and empower nature, but each day she was feebler. The students didn't miss that each day, as her illness extended, their mentor lost a leave, and the ninth day, when her students were capable of using every single secret and technique she had to offer, the last, sick, feeble and tarnished leave fell off her body, and she died. The three friends, now masters of Ki and Nature, laied the foundations of the Nineleaves Monastery, where they could pass on their mentor's teachings.

Monks of the Way of the Nineleaves live in conjunction with nature, learning to respect it, defend it, take care of it and even use it in their advantage. They favour the wilderness over towns and cities, learning to navigate through the wilderness. They take some learning from Rangers and Druids to better understand their wild surroundings, as well as themselves, and how ki intertwines with everything.

Nineleaves Technique

Studying the way the swarms of insects in the jungle attack, you learn to infuse your ki in Darts and similar projectiles.

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can infuse your ki in Darts and similar projectiles. You get to add your Proficiency modifier to your attack and damage rolls with this type of Weapon.

At 6th level, your attacks with these weapons count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Knowledge of Nature

Starting at 3rd level, your communion with nature gives you Proficiency in Survival Nature Animal Handling, Medicine and the Herbalism Kit, if you didn't already have it

Jungle Agility

At 6th level, you gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.

At 11th level, you are so used to moving through Difficult Terrain, that you are unaffected by it. Also, you no longer have to spend additional movement to stand up after being nocked prone.

Spellcasting

Nature's Prowess

Starting at 6th level, your communion with nature is so powerful that it lets you learn some druidic cantrips (Druidcraft, Thorn Whip and Infestation).

Upon reaching level 11th, you gain access to the 1st and 2nd level spells of the spell list (Entangle, Speak with Animals and Spike Growth).

Upon reaching 17th level, you gain access to the 3rd and 4th level spells of the spell list (Plant Growth, Speak with Plants and Guardian of Nature).

These spells don't count against the number of spells you know, and the 1st through 4th level ones don't need to expend a spell slot to be casted. You can cast them for free once every short or long rest, and then they cost a number of ki points equal to halve the spell level (rounded up) every time after the first use

Spellcasting Ability

Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for the Nature's Prowess spells, as the power of your magic comes from your deep understanding of Ki, natural life and the ways they intertwine. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a Nature's Prowess spell you cast.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Nineleaves Technique Improvement

Your understanding of ki and Thrown weapons has grown so much that, at 11th level, you get to apply your Proficiency Bonus to all attacks and damage rolls when throwing a Weapon with the Thrown property. These strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Thorn Eruption Strike

At 11th level, when you hit an enemy with Flurry of Blows, you can spend 3 Ki points to make a thornbush erupt form within them. The enemy must make a Constitution saving throw against your DC (8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier). If the creature fails, it is restrained and takes 4d8 magical piercing damage + 2d8 poison damage (the damage dice increase with your martial arts feature, so at 17th level, these become 4d10 + 2d10). On a success, the creature is not afflicted with the  restrained condition, and takes half as damage.

Regardless, the space it is occupying at the moment of receiving the strike becomes difficut terrain for anybody that is not you, as poisonous thornbushes grow there. Any creatures, except you, that traverse, start or finish their turn in this space take 4d8 magical piercing damage + 2d8 poison damage (the damage dice increase with your martial arts feature, so at 17th level, these become 4d10 + 2d10).

The thornbushes remain in the space where they appeared for a number of turns equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

For every Ki point that you spend in this Strike over 3, you add 1d8 (or 1d10 when you are 17th level or higher) to the magical piercing damage that the objective and any creature that goes through the difficult terrain take from it.

Natural Body

Upon reaching level 17, your body is so intrinsically weaved with ki that you gain an extreme endurance against the blinded, deafened, paralyzed, petrified and stunned conditions, having advantage in any Saving Throw against them.
Before rolling those saves, as a reaction, you can spend a ki point to pass them immediately, also getting immune to that specific condition for a minute. You can not use this feature again for that same condition until a short or long rest.
You can also spend a ki point when afflicted with one of those conditions to end it as a bonus action and get immunity to that specific condition for a minute. You can not use this feature again for that same condition until a short or long rest. This does not override the Diamond Soul class feature, so both can be used when trying to resist one of these conditions: if you don't use Condition Immunity and have to roll a saving throw, you get the advantage from this feature, if you fail you can spend a ki point to use Diamond Soul and roll one more time, and if you still fail, you can spend another ki point to use Condition Interruption.
