Base Class: Monk

The Monks following the way of the inferno are known for their aggression. Their teachings are based on the nature of fire, its all consuming destructive power, its inspiring presence. It burns through almost anything and as more time goes by the harder it becomes to control. By studying the inferno these monks learn to be ferocious and merciless in their attacks. Their strong and wild attacks can be dangerous to both friend and foe.

Infernal Fists

Starting at 3rd level, your unarmed strikes are empowered by the inferno within you. When you hit a creature with an attack, they take additional fire damage equal to your wisdom modifier. When you crit on your attack, this fire damage is also doubled.

Inner Fury

Also at 3rd level, you can use your Ki to channel your inner fury into more powerful attacks. After you take the attack action on your turn, you can use your bonus action to do one following options:

  • Fury strike: Spend 1 ki point to make an unarmed attack against a creature. On a hit it take the normal damage of your unarmed strike plus 1d6+ your wisdom modifier in fire damage. the fire damage increases to 1d8 at 5th level, 1d10 at 11th level and 1d12 at 17th level.
  • Fury blast: Spend 2 Ki points to have every creature within a 15ft square in front of you make an dexterity save. They take 1d6+ your wisdom modifier in fire damage on a failed save.This damage increases to 1d8 at 5th level, 1d10 at 11th level and 1d12 at 17th level.

Embrace the Fire

Starting at 6th level, you can use your Ki to use the power of the inferno. You gain the Control Flames cantrip if you don't already know it. Additionally, as an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast Burning Hands, Flame Blade or Aganazzar’s Scorcher without providing material components. You can also use the Fury strike from your Inner Fury feature after casting one of these spells as your action.

Fuel the Flames

Starting at 11th level, you inner fire is fueled by your successful aggressive actions. When you successfully hit a creature with your unarmed strike, your damage increases for your next attacks with 5 fire damage. This stacks up to a maximum of 20 extra damage. You lose this extra damage if you miss an attack, or id you use a spell and don’t deal any damage, or when you go a turn without making a unarmed attack.

Explosive Inferno

Starting at 17th level, when you make you first unarmed attack on your turn you can spend 4 Ki Points to increase the power of you infernal fists to explosive levels. That attack and every unarmed attack you make until the start of your next turn also creates an explosion of fire in a 25ft square in front of you. Every creature in that area must succeed in a dexterity saving throw, taking 1d12+your wisdom modifier of fire damage on a failed save.
