Base Class: Monk
Free Training
At 3rd level, you develop a powerful body and technique, trained for grappling.
You may use your Strength modifier instead of your Dexterity modifier to determine your AC.
You also gain proficiency in Athletics if you don’t already have it. If you do, then you gain expertise.
((Wearing any armor or shields negates these effects. You must be unarmored.))
Thought to Action.
At 3rd level, you’ve honed the technique to go from grapple to a throw in an instant.
Once per turn when you do flurry of blows, you can replace one unarmed strike with grapple instead. You can spend 1 Ki point to make another grapple after the flurry.
When you successfully grapple a grappled creature, you can inflict one of these three effects:
(DC equals 8 + Your strength modifier + Proficiency bonus)
- The target need to succeed a Strength saving throw or knock prone to the ground.
- The target need to succeed a Strength saving throw or disarm one of the item they are holding.
- The target cannot use their reaction until the end of your next turn.
Redirection of Power.
Starting at 6th level,
You can use your reaction to spend 2 ki points to redirect the flow of power when you are hit by a melee attack.
When you do so, the damage you take from the melee attack(exclude the additional damage) is reduced by 1d10 + their attacking ability modifier(Strength or Dexterity) + your Monk level.
If you reduce the damage to 0, the attack will become a miss, then you can use the same reaction to attempt a grapple on the creature who melee attacked you.
Endless Journeys.
At 11th level, you become so powerful that a creature's size is no obstacle to your martial prowess. You can grapple or shove a creature of any size. You also have advantage on all checks made to grapple or shove creatures. Additionally, your movement speed will not be halved when you are grappling a creature that are one size smaller than you.
((This will be ignored if you are grappling more than one creatures at once))
Apex of the Gentle Way
At 17th level, you've mastered the art of throwing a creature and can do it in an instant with devastatingly lethal effects. When you release a creature from a grapple, you can spend 3 Ki points to force the freed creature to make a Strength saving throw. The creature takes 2 martial arts die + Your athletic check worth of magical bludgeoning damage on a failure, and half as much on a success. You can only do this once per turn. ((DC 8 + STR mod + Proficiency))
Additionally, if a creature that is currently grappled by you are prone, you can replace your Thought to Action to impose Restrained instead of prone using this feature.
