Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks trained in the Way of the Force, channel their Ki to protect themselves and hurt enemies through implements of Force. Each Monk uses a Conduit of Force as their focus to channel their Ki.

Conduit of Force

You use a Conduit of Force as a focus (similar to spell casting focus). A Conduit of Force is a magical object that helps you channel your Ki into Force energy. The Conduit is a tiny object, and you decide what the object is and its properties agreed by your DM. The Conduit’s AC equals to your ki save DC. Its hit points equal your Monk level plus your proficiency bonus, and it is immune to Force and psychic damage. As long as the Conduit is on your person, you are resistant to Force damage.

If the Conduit is destroyed or you lose it, you can perform a 1-hour ceremony to make a new object into a new conduit. This ceremony can be performed during a short or long rest, and the previous conduit is destroyed if it still exists. The Conduit turns to dust and is destroyed when you die.

Implements of Force

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurt your enemies and protect yourself at the same time. You can also hurt your enemies back if they hurt you. You can use your Conduit of Force and conjure some implements of Force.

As an action or a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point and conjure an implement of Force (a weapon or a body shield) using your conduit of Force. If it is a Weapon, then it will be conjured in your hand as a shimmering blade of force or a shimmering bow of force and if it is a body shield, then it will be conjured around your body as a shimmering Shield of force. You can conjure only one implement of Force at a time, but you can have both together on you if you wish on your subsequent turns. Each implement of Force lasts for 10 minutes after conjured. You can dismiss and reconjure them during those 10 minutes (no action or extra ki points required), as long as your conduit of Force is on your person.

You gain a special ranged spell attack (60 ft) and melee spell attack (5ft) that uses your DEX modifier and deals force damage equal to your Martial Arts die. When you take the Attack action, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action and you can use this attack as any of the attacks using the Extra Attack feature.

Blade of Force or Bow of Force. Once per turn you can deal extra damage equal to your martial arts die when you attack with this weapon.
Shield of Force. You gain +2 bonus to your AC. Once per enemy's turn you can deal damage equal to your martial arts die when you are hit by an attack by an enemy when you have a Shield of Force around you. An enemy can be damaged only once per enemy's turn for one attack landed on you despite the number of attacks the enemy makes.

Force hold

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki to hold the life force of other creatures. As a bonus action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to try to incapacitate and suffocate a creature within 30 ft of you. A creature must succeed on a Wisdom Saving throw or become incapacitated and prone to suffocation for 1 minute. A creature can only be subjected to suffocation if it needs to breathe or else it cannot be subjected to suffocation but still can become incapacitated. When a creature is being suffocated, it cannot speak or give verbal commands or cast verbal spells. A creature can repeat its saving throw at the end of each of its turns to end this effect.

You can spend additional ki points to increase the number of targets. Each additional ki point you spend increases the number of targets by 1. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend equals half your monk level rounded down.

Additionally, you can spend an extra ki point per target to give disadvantage to a target that is making a saving throw against either your stunning strike or force hold.

Steps of Force

At 11th level, you gain the ability to channel your force in impossible ways and push your limits.

When you use your step of the wind feature, you can create force energy steps under your feet and give yourself flying speed up to your walking speed until the end of your current turn or until you stop moving. You will only fall if you stop moving.

You can now use your stunning strike on both melee and ranged attacks made with implements of force weapons.

Additionally, while conjuring your Implements of force weapons, you can spend additional ki points to give attack and damage bonuses to those weapons up to +3. Normally you spend 1 ki point to conjure the Blade of force or the Bow of force, but if you spend 2 ki points then they will have +1 to their attack and damage bonus. If you spend 3 ki points, then they will have +2 to their attack and damage bonus. If you spend 4 ki points, then they will have +3 to their attack and damage.

Limitless Force

At 17th level, you become an Avatar of Force energy. You are now immune to force damage.

The extra martial arts die force damage you deal when you attack with Blade or Bow of force can be now dealt with every attack you make with those weapons.
The martial arts die force damage you deal when you are hit with an attack while you have Shield of force on you can now be dealt to the attacker for every attack you take.

Temporal Salvation

At 17th level, Your Conduit of Force acts to shield you from death.

If you die while you have your Conduit of Force in your possession, you vanish and reappear in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the space you left (or the nearest unoccupied space). You have a number of hit points equal to 6 (proficiency bonus) Martial arts die + your Constitution modifier. If your hit point maximum is lower than the number of hit points you regain, your hit point maximum rises to a similar amount. If you have any levels of exhaustion, reduce your level of exhaustion by 1. You can only use this feature once per long rest. Your Conduit of Force turns to dust and is destroyed.
