Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Blademaster is one that values skill above all, for mastery of the blade requires mastery of oneself.

Sometimes called Bladedancers, monks of this archetype make fighting look like an art form. Even when outnumbered, they can cut down hordes of monsters and humanoids alike with nothing but their skill with a blade and skill alone.

Superior Swordsmanship

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Dexterity (Acrobatics) skill. If you are already proficient, you instead double your proficiency bonus when making a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check.

You also gain proficiency with longswords, rapiers, and scimitars. These are considered monk weapons for you. You can use bladed monk weapons (such as longswords, scimitars, and rapiers) when using your Deflect Missiles feature.

Blade Surge

Also at 3rd level, as a part of your Flurry of Blows or Deflect Missiles attacks, you can move up to your Unarmoured Movement bonus closer to your target, provided you end the movement within melee distance of them. While you move in this way, you don’t provoke opportunity attacks, and you can move through the target’s space as if it was difficult terrain. Every foot you travel in this way counts as a foot of your overall movement.

If you do this with the attack you make with your Deflect Missiles feature, you can make a melee weapon attack in place of a ranged weapon attack.

Duel of Steel

At 6th level, if you are wielding a bladed monk weapon, you may use your Deflect Missiles feature to deflect melee weapon attacks. If you reduce the damage of the triggering attack down to 0, you can expend 1 ki point to make a melee weapon attack against the target as part of that reaction.

Additionally, when a creature you can see misses you with a melee weapon attack, you can expend 1 ki point as a reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.

Ki-Empowered Blades

Also at 6th level, attacks you make with a bladed monk weapon are considered magical when overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Flurry of Blades

Starting at 11th level, whenever you make an unarmed strike, you may replace that attack with a melee weapon attack with a bladed monk weapon.

Omnislash

At 17th level, as an action, you can spend 6 ki points to unleash a flurry of strikes. Choose up to 5 targets that you can see within 30 feet of you. Make melee weapon attacks against each target with your bladed monk weapon. On a hit, the target takes 6d10 force damage. If you choose only one target, you can make two attacks against the target instead of one.

You can use this ability twice. You gain all uses back at the next dawn.
