Base Class: Monk
the principle of the monk is to hone your ki and use it to improve your physical capabilities. some traditions use ki in the purest sense of improving hand to hand combat, others try to project their ki and influence their surroundings. the way of the form shaper differs from others in this sense as it focuses on using ki to manipulate ones physical structure to suit any form of combat. unlike druids these monks do not change their form entirely to look like a beast or monstrosity, but rather they alter parts of their body in ways that are impossible to others.
this tradition is lesser known from the rest, as some monks go as far to say that it is a taboo way of using ki. because of this those who wish to learn this tradition would have better luck searching outside a monastery to find a mentor.
Body manipulator
you learn to channel your ki into your limbs and bones to minorly alter your shape to suit combat.
starting at third level you can perform one of the two effects below at no cost.
claws & blade - you may change the shape of your arms and hands to deal different kinds of damage. you can choose to grow claws or turn your arms into blade like forms in order to do slashing damage, or you can turn your hands into spear like shapes in order to do piercing damage. you can choose to prepare this out of combat but if you are in combat you follow the same rules as you would if you where switching weapons.
contortionist - you may choose as an action to attempt to grapple an enemy by extending and manipulating an arm. if you grapple an enemy in this way you may still attack freely with your other arm and legs but you must remain within 5 ft of the grappled target, you may use your DEX modifier instead of your STR for the grapple. this ability can also be use as a utility this grants you an extra 5ft of grabbing range.
alternatively if you are the one being grappled then you may use your ki to dislocate and manipulate your structure to wriggle out giving you advantage on your attempts to break free, provided you are using acrobatics and not athletics.
Beastial adaptations
starting at 6th level you may spend 2 ki point as an action to change your body in one of the following ways. these changes last up to an hour and you cannot have more then 1 active at a time.
flight - you sprout wings from your back of a bird, bug or dragon. for the next hour, you have a flying speed equal to your movement speed.
agile - your body alters, taking on aspects of fast agile land creatures, cheater, tiger or insects and so on. for the next hour your normal walking speed is doubled and you gain the benefits of spider climb. you still have two legs and arms, the muscles, skin and nails are simply altered to suit this temporary change.
swim - you gain scales, fins and gills like other aquatic creatures so you may survive underwater. for an hour you gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed and you can breath underwater.
Hunter and Surviver
starting at 11th level you may as an action, spend 4 ki points to gain the benefits of one of the effects listed below for 10min. you can not have more then 1 of these effects active at any one time, but you may have one effect from this feat and one from the Adaptive feat active at the same time.
Third eye - you grow a third eye (or enhance your original eyes, your choice), this eye grants you 'true sight' for 10min
Four arms - you gain an extra set of arms for 10min. for the duration of the effect you have advantage on strength and acrobatics checks involving your arms, further more, when you use your flurry of blows ability you may spend 2 ki points instead of 1 to do 4 attacks instead of 2.
Tendrils - 6 tendrils sprout from your back and fail wildly in combat. will this effect is active you take your turn as normal, but while this effect is active in combat the tendrils fail wildly in a 10ft radius around you. creatures in the area or that enter the effected area, that you choose must make a Dex saving throw on their turn or take 4d6 of magical bludgeoning damage. the saving throw is 8 + Dex mod + proficiency bonus. additionally attempts to leave the area you may use your reaction to attack with the tendrils (you roll for a normal attack dealing the tendrils damage, no damage modifier), or attempt a grapple with the tendrils leaving your arms free and movement unhindered.
additionally, your advanced understanding of body manipulation allows you to regenerate lost limbs. if a part of your body is removed you may regenerate it by spending an hour meditating over a short or long rest, though while you are regenerating your body you cannot regain ki points or expend hit die.
Mythic Adaptation
from years of experience you have now a better understanding of monsters, giants and aberrations and can now temporarily alter your body similar to theirs. as an action, once per short rest you may expend 6 ki points to alter your body in 1 of the 4 ways below. you may stack this ability with 1 from the evolution feat and 1 from adaptive feat.
Fey stealth - for 1 min while this ability is active you have the invisibility effect on you. the invisibility effect does not negate unless you choose to dismiss it or 1min has passed.
Monstrous defensed - for 1 min while this effect is active your skin becomes a strong, impenetrable armor described how you see fit. for the next minute, your AC increases by 3 and you have resistance to non-magical attacks and effects such as natural fire and traps.
Giants strength - for 1 min while this effect is active, you grow 10ft taller. your carry capacity increases accordingly and your strength stat becomes equal to your wisdom stat unless it is already greater. while in this state when you attack using you strength (wisdom) based attacks, you roll double the amount of martial dice when rolling for damage. additionally you have advantage on all strength checks.
Phoenix flames - for 1 min while this effect is active you gain the regenerative powers of a phoenix or another creature with regenerative powers. when you are below half you max hit points for the next minute, you will regain 10hp at the start of each of your turn until you are above half you max hit points.
additionally now that you have mastered body manipulation, you may activate one of the abilities in the Bestial adaptation without expending ki points and they last as long as you will it too. you can still only have one ability active from each separate feat at any one time ( example, you may have giants strength, four arms and wings active at the same time as they are all from different feat categories).

Posted Aug 17, 2021you forgot to add the level for the final feature there, I know its 17 but still
Amazing subclass though, was going to do something similar but give them some transformation spells and make the spellcasting CON since they'd be transforming their body
(edit: forgot to mention I'm likely going to try to use this subclass in a game eventually)
