Monk
Base Class: Monk

When the mind, body and soul are in perfect harmony, only then can true peace be found. These monks train and test their willpower and physical bodies for years to develop and grow their mystical energy and blend them with their physical abilities to acquire a higher power. These monks go through rigorous training to channel the power of their soul and utilize it in the material world, giving way to a connection with the soul that other monks cannot develop. This connection allows them to tap into their Ki in new ways and pull from their body in way that other cannot, bringing forth the true power of the soul.

When reaching 3rd level this archetype will have 6 Ki points instead of the regular 3, and will continue to receive extra Ki points at higher levels

Strike of the Balanced Soul

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl orbs of mystical energy at you opponents.

You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. The special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. It is force damage, and its die is a d4. The die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the  Martial Arts column of the Monk table.

When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 Ki point to make the special attack twice asa bonus action.

When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.

Pneumatic Wave

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel you Ki and soul into the weak points of your opponents. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 Ki points to cast the inflict wounds spell as a bonus action.

You can spend additional Ki points to cast inflict wounds as a higher-level spell. Each additional Ki point you spend increases the spell's level by 1. The maximum number of Ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half you monk level rounded down (3 points at 6th level, 3 points at 7th level, 4 points at 8th level).

Spiritual Aura

At 11th level, you gain the ability to project your energy into a mystical aura. You can focus this aura to create one of several effects:

  • Soul Shield: You can use your reaction and spend 1 Ki point to cast shield on yourself or on a nearby ally that is within 5 feet of you.
  • Spirit Flight: You can use an action and spend 1 Ki point to cast feather fall or spend 3 Ki points to cast fly.
  • Soul Smite: You can use a bonus action and spend 5 Ki points to cast banishing smite on a weapon you are using (you unarmed strikes are eligible targets for this spell).

Mastery Over Soul

Starting at 17th level, you gain the ability to sense you surroundings without the need of sight. You can view others' souls and predict their movements by sensing the innate mystical energy that all living things posses. This ability grants you three new powers:

  • Soul Sensing: You easily predict your opponent's movements. Using a freed action, you can spend 2 Ki points to impose disadvantage on attacks against you until the start of your next turn or impose advantage on attacks you make this turn.
  • Soul Sight: You no longer need visual of you opponents to know where they are. You have blindsight up to 60 feet.
  • Soul Sustain: You only need a brief moment to focus your energy inward and regain you senses. You can spend 1 Ki point to expend 1 hit die to heal hit points equal to the roll or cure one condition ailment you are suffering from, such as being blinded, charmed, deafened, fatigued, frightened, paralyzed, poisoned, stunned, or exhaustion (any not listed cannot be cured this way).
