Monk
Base Class: Monk

Also known as pugilists, these monks don't follow a monastic tradition as such, they use an unorthodox and brutal fighting style that lacks the formal teachings of other monk paths. They rely on fast, decisive strikes and sure-footed evasion to dispatch foes efficiently and brutally. Warriors that follow this path, as they often lack the traditions of typical monks, instead unlock their ki through self-determination and an almost supernatural fighting instinct.

Unstoppable Brawler

When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you reach a level of physical fitness and raw determined strength unseen in most monks. You gain proficiency in the Athletics skill.

Additionally, you may add your Wisdom modifier to Strength checks and Strength saving throws.

Old One-Two

Also at 3rd level, you learn to string unarmed strikes into knockout combos. If you hit with an unarmed strike against a creature, and your next attack against that same creature with an unarmed strike also hits, you can choose one of the following effects to impose on the creature:

  • The next attack against the target gains a bonus to hit equal to your proficiency bonus.
  • The target is deafened until the end of your next turn.
  • The target is must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC or be either pushed back 10 feet away from you, or knocked prone, your choice, if they are at most 2 sizes larger than you.
  • The target takes extra damage equal to 1 + your proficiency bonus.

Bob and Weave

By 6th level, your experience getting into scraps and brawls has taught you how to deftly avoid enemy attacks and then exploit their openness with brutal counterattacks. After a creature misses you with an attack or after using your Not Out Yet feature when you gain it, you can use your reaction and immediately make a single unarmed attack against them. If this attack hits, it deals an additional Martial Arts die of damage. You can use this feature once, regaining the ability to use it again when you finish a short or long rest, or by spending 1 Ki point.

Not Out Yet

By 11th level, you've become well accustomed to shaking off physical punishment and knockout blows. At the end of your turn, if you are incapacitated, you can choose to gain 1 hit point, stand up if prone, and gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level.

You can use this feature once, regaining the ability to use it again when you finish a long rest. You can use this feature again by spending 2 Ki points, but this cost increases by an additional 2 Ki points each time you use it before completing a long rest, after which it resets to costing 2 points.

Unending Barrage

At 17th level, your speed and aggression is unmatched, allowing you to throw out a constant stream of blows. If both of your hands are free, when you take the Attack Action and two attacks against the same creature, you can one additional attack against that creature as part of the action]Attack[/action] Action.
