Base Class: Monk
AND IT WILL COME! LIKE A FLOOD OF PAIN! RAINING DOWN ON ME! AND IT WILL NOT LET UP UNTIL THE END IS HERE!
Path of the Monsoon
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your special martial arts training leads you to master the use of certain weapons. This path also includes instruction in the deft strokes of calligraphy or painting. You gain the following benefits.
Shinobi Weapons. Choose two types of weapons to be your shinobi weapons: two melee weapons (or tools, because dnd beyond can be wack sometimes). Each of these weapons can be any simple or martial weapon that lacks the heavy and special properties. You gain proficiency with these weapons if you don’t already have it. Weapons of the chosen types are monk weapons for you. Many of this tradition’s features work only with your shinobi weapons. When you reach 6th, 11th, and 17th level in this class, you can choose another type of weapon — either melee or ranged — to be a shinobi weapon for you, following the criteria above.
Twirling Winds. If you make a two-weapon attack as part of the Attack action on your turn and are holding two shinobi weapons, you can use them to defend yourself. You gain a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn, while the weapons are in your hand and you aren’t incapacitated.
Shinobi Reflex. You can use your reaction to make your melee weapon attacks more brutal. When you do so, your melee shinobi weapons deal an extra 1d4 damage of their type to creatures you hit that round. you retain this benefit until the end of your next turn.
Way of the Brush. You gain proficiency with your choice of calligrapher’s supplies or painter’s supplies.
Slicing Winds
At 6th level, you extend your ki into your shinobi weapons, granting you the following benefits.
Magic shinobi Weapons. Your attacks with your shinobi weapons count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Deft Strike. When you hit a target with a shinobi weapon, you can spend 1 ki point to cause the weapon to deal extra damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die.
Shinobi Weapons
When you reach 6th level in this class, you can choose another type of melee weapon to be a shinobi weapon for you, following the criteria above.
Wet Winds
At 11th level, you gain a stronger sense for the natural world around you, and learn to move as if you're one with the winds themselves. As a reaction, you can expend 3 ki points to impose disadvantage to an attack made against you from a creature you have hit that round and that you can see.
Shinobi Weapon
When you reach 11th level in this class, you can choose another type of melee weapon to be a shinobi weapon for you, following the criteria above.
Dry Winds
At 17th level, your extraordinary accuracy, incredible speed, and acute sense of small changes in the air allow you to attack at a blinding rate with surgeon-like precision. You may expend 4 ki points to make three extra attacks with two-handed melee weapons you're holding as a bonus action.
Shinobi Weapons
When you reach 17th level in this class, you can choose another type of melee weapon to be a shinobi weapon for you, following the criteria above.
