Base Class: Monk
The Way of the Lone Fist teaches strength and poise. Lone Fist monks expect to end their fights with a single strike. They harden their bodies by punching and kicking boulders or large trees. Stories around the world claim of Lone Fist monks splintering shields and cracking armor with their bare hands. The power of a patient mind, strong will, and honed body makes quick work of any would-be adversary. Lone Fist monasteries echo throughout the land with the deafening sounds of their monks' powerful strikes.
Patient Focus
At 3rd level, when you begin your training under the Lone Fist, you learn to channel your strength into a single devastating strike. You gain "Focus". Prior to attacking a target with an unarmed strike or a melee monk weapon, you may choose any number of other attacks/actions.
If this attack hits, the chosen attacks/actions are expended in exchange for a stack of Focus per expended resource. When you roll for damage, multiply the unarmed or weapon damage total by 1 plus your Focus count.
Your Focus count then returns to zero after the damage is dealt. You may sacrifice the following to build Focus: Bonus Action, Reaction, Extra Attack(s), Movement. Note: Sacrificing movement requires sacrificing the entirety of your movement.
Thunderous Strikes
Starting at 3rd level, the massive impact of your strikes rings out through the air. Your first hit with an unarmed strike or a melee monk weapon against a target deals bonus thunder damage equal to your Proficiency bonus. This damage is also multiplied by your Focus count.
Breaking Strike
At 6th level, your punches can crack bone, leaving your enemies staggered and limping. When you hit a target with an unarmed strike or a melee monk weapon, you may reduce their movement speed by 5 feet for every point of Focus you had. They regain any movement speed lost this way at the start of your next turn.
Wicked Blow
At 6th level, your strikes are made with such force that they send your enemies sprawling. Whenever you hit a target that is Huge or smaller with an unarmed strike or a melee monk weapon, you may launch the target backwards 5 feet for every point of Focus you had.
Deadly Focus
At 11th level, your Focus is trained to such a degree that you can channel your Ki into your strikes. You gain the new Ki ability "Deadly Focus" - For 3 Ki each, you may add another point to your Focus count. This additional Focus is lost at the end of the turn.
Follow Through
At 11th level, the impact force of your strikes flows through your target and outward to other enemies. The bonus thunder damage you deal now travels outward 25 feet from you in a straight line, dealing the same damage to all targets along the line.
Fist of Ruin
At 17th level, you have mastered the Lone Fist Technique. Your every strike can end a fight with finality. Whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you gain a stack of Focus until the end of your next turn.
