Monks who embrace the Way of the Storm's Fury embody the tempest's unbridled power, drawing inspiration from the raging skies and the crackling force of lightning. They become conduits of elemental chaos, weaving the raw energy of storms into their martial prowess. Monks following the Way of the Storm's Fury walk a precarious path, taming the chaotic forces of nature within themselves. Their journey intertwines the discipline of the monk with the raw, untamed power of the storm, allowing them to channel the fury of the skies with grace and deadly precision. 

Stormbearer

Starting at 3rd level, you gain an affinity for the elements, specifically lightning. Your movement speed increases by 10 feet while you are not wearing armor or wielding a shield. Additionally, you gain resistance to lightning damage and your fists deal lightning damage equal to your martial arts die.  As an action, you can use two abilities that you can use as bonus actions by spending 2 Ki Points. The actions are:

Thunder Wind God Fist
A melee attack imbued with immense thunder, typically used as an uppercut. Deals 1d10 damage

Thunderous Bolt
A ranged spell-like ability in which the user hurls a thunderbolt. Deals 1d8 damage to anyone in it's range

Additionally, you can use a turn to charge up your ki points using your lightning powers. This can be used consecutively but can only be used three times a day

High Voltage

Starting at 6th level, When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point and force it to make a constitution save. If the creature fails, it takes double damage. Additionally, you gain advantage on dexterity rolls and you ignore resistances and immunities to lightning damage

Grey Clouds Overhead

At 6th level, You gain additional ki points equal to your wisdom modifier. You also gain a new ki ability, allowing you to teleport.

Thunder Dash
Teleport anywhere within 40ft of your current location. Does not take an action but does take 1 ki point to use. Leaves behind a trail of lightning that deals 10 flat damage if touched by any creature in it's path.

Sparking Body

Starting at 11th level, You gain the ability to use 2 Ki Points to add +1d4 to any roll using your lightning powers. Additionally, you gain 2 new Ki Abilities:

Surge Strike
Use 3 Ki Points to charge your fists with lighting and perform a two-hit punching combo. Dealing 2d10 lightning and bludgeoning damage and knocking the enemy prone

Fulminant Flash
Use 3 KI Points to fire streams of lightning forwards in a 50ft cone that deals 2d8 lighting damage to anyone within it

Sparking Soul

At 11th Level, You gain complete immunity to lightning damage and your movement speed is increased by 10 when not wearing armour or a shield. As well as your Flurry Of Blows now deals lightning damage equal to your martial arts die

King Of Storms

Upon reaching 17th level, you’ve gained the knowledge to manipulate the storm to your whim You gain powerful Ki Abilities that would make even the gods shiver and quake. All abilities cost 4 Ki Points

Rapturous Lightning
Summon a cloud of storm that hails lightning on every opponent within a 40ft radius of your current location. Deals 2d12 damage to all creatures within range.

Quaking God Lightning Fist
The ancient attack of the first Clouded Sky monk, taught from generations. A lightning strike of godly strength is called upon your fist as you attack the enemy, dealing 4d10 damage to the targeted creature.

Fulminant Sky
Change the weather to a devastating thunder storm for 1d4 turns. The weather will target random creatures (even you or your party) and deal 2d10 lightning damage to whomever it chooses to attack for the turn. 

God Of The Clouded Sky

Upon reaching 17th level, you attain the pinnacle of your connection to the storm and become a God Of The Clouded Sky. As an action, you can spend 5 ki points to transform into the God Of The Clouded Sky for 1 minute. While in this form, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 3d10 lightning damage.
  • You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
  • 2 ki points recharge automatically at the start of a turn
  • Fulminant Sky's effects no longer affect you and your party and are active for as long as you are transformed
