Monk
Base Class: Monk

Orcs and Half-orcs who've left their tribes over the violence and destruction their tribes inflict on others usually try and find a way to learn peaceful ways of dealing with conflict. That's when they find the tribe Shin-Gu-Rah. The teachings of Shin-Gu-Rah started as a group of Orcs trying to peace through activities of strength and mental wellbeing but finding that those around them only wished to steal from them, they quickly found that their training allowed to fend off attackers with ease. Seeing that the world was filled with those that did not wish them peace, they soon sought after ways of exercising their fighting abilities and the rage that Gruumsh filled them with every day. The elders, those that were a part of the original founding of the tribe, discovered a being only known as the Ancient, a powerful but wise being who taught them the Way of the Vex and gifted the elders immortality. The Ancient also spoke a language which was learnt by the tribe and is spoken as an almost exclusive language to the tribe that some say sounds Draconic in origin...

Though the tribe is mostly made up of Orcs, they do not dicrimanate and welcome all who wish to learn the Ways of the Vex.

Righteous Anger

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your ki when you engage in combat. When you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you enter your Rite of Fury and gain the following benefits:

  • Your movement speed is increased by 5 feet.
  • If you don’t move and attack an opponent with an unarmed strike, they take double damage from your unarmed strike and must make a Strength saving throw. If it fails, you can push it up to 15 feet away from you. (DC= 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus)
  • You do bonus psychic damage equal to your strength modifier.
  • When you haven’t attacked or taken damage for a round Rite of Fury ends and you must complete a short rest before you can enter Rite of Fury again.

Embodiment of Vengeance

At 6th level, you gain the ability to cast a variation of Enlarge/Reduce on yourself when you activate Rite of Fury with a few changes:

  • Reduce has its’ effects replaced with Enlarges’ but allows the caster to still shrink one size category and its’ weight is still reduced.
  • Enlarge gives you bonus hit points equal to 50% of your Max Hit points rounded up.
  • Reduce gives you bonus speed equal to 50% of your original speed rounded up.
  • Ends automatically when Rite of Fury does but can still be expelled as an action.

Controlled Anger

Beginning at 11th level, you are calm and can control your emotions. At the end of a short or long rest, you can pick one of the following benefits:

  • When you make a roll, you can choose to take it with advantage once and cannot do it again until your next short or long rest.
  • When you make a saving throw or skill roll, you can choose to take it with advantage. You can do this up to three times before your next short or long rest.
  • Choose an ability score, improve rolls involving it by 1.

Rage Snare

At 17th level, you gain the ability to let opponents and allies feel your anger. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike while Rite of Fury is active, you can spend 3 Ki points to start this uncontrollable emotion, which lasts for as long as your Rite of Fury does. The emotion makes the individual aggressive against what you’re attacking and will always choose to attack it until the effect ends. While active the individual gains advantage if attacking the same opponent you are and do bonus psychic damage equal to your monk level. When you use this action, the creature must make a contested saving throw, their intelligence against your wisdom. If it fails, they succumb to their rage and blindly attack whoever you attack regardless of bonds or reasoning.

You can only have two creatures under the effect of this feature at a time.
