Base Class: Monk
Monks that choose to walk the way of the Third Eye are stripped of their eyesight, as they believe that this is the only way to perceive the world free from illusion and to become truly enlightened. Theythen undergo a series of trials which push each of their senses to their absolute limit. It is through these trials that they learn to better understand and focus their Ki through their other senses. Not all who attempt these trials are successful and many lose far more than their eyesight as a result.
Heightened senses, quicker reaction time, and more precise movements are just sone of the common attributes shared by these monks. Some are even able to sense the magical energy of the universe flowing around them. Despite this fact many still doubt these monks, however they have proven time and time again that they see far more than their advisors think.
Blinded
Upon choosing this tradition at 3rd level, you permanently have the blinded condition, however you do not suffer disadvantage on attack rolls and attacks made against you are not made with advantage. You also gain the following:
- You have blindsight in a 15 foot radius around you and tremorsense in a 30 foot radius around you. (The radius of your blindsight and tremorsense grow by 15 feet at levels, 6 and 11)
- As a bonus action you can make a loud noise, such as tapping a staff on a wall or clicking your tongue, to use echolocation. Doing this doubles your tremorsense radius for one round. If there is an outside source of loud noise in the area, such as a waterfall or people yelling, you also gain this benefit.
- You gain advantage on wisdom (perception) checks that rely on hearing, tasting, feeling, and smelling and on wisdom insight checks against creatures with a heartbeat
Dampen Senses
Also at 3rd level you can target pressure points that numb your enemy’s senses and reaction time.
Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- It must make a Strength saving throw or drop one item of your choice that it is holding.
- It must make a Constitution saving throw or it cannot speak until the end of it’s next turn.
- It can’t take reactions until the end of your next turn
- It must make a dexterity saving throw with advantage or gain the blinded condition until the end of it’s next turn.
- It must make constitution saving throw or gain the deafened condition. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns ending the effect on a success.
Greater Patience

Additionally, you can enter into a meditative state to open your senses. You gain the ability to cast certain divination spells by spending Ki points equal to the level go the spell. You learn more spells as you gain levels in this class. Use your Ki save DC as Spell save DC and your developing “third eye” as your arcane focus. Casting time for these spells is 1 minute or more. For the duration of these spells you are considered stunned, although this isn’t evident at first glance.

- You can make opportunity attacks without using your reaction.
- Attack rolls against you have disadvantage
- your speed becomes 0, and you have disadvantage on dexterity checks.
Awaken The Third Eye
At 17th level, your third eye fully awakens, granting you an unparalleled sense of perception. You can cast True Seeing on yourself without requiring material components by spending 3 Ki points.
Additionally, with your heightened mastery over your senses, the flow of ki through your body becomes seamless. While in Seer's Stance, you can now move freely, and you no longer suffer disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws. Furthermore, your monk abilities no longer consume Ki points whilst in the stance, except for the continuation cost of the stance itself.
