Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Spider-Man are usually few and far between. But those who pursue this way follow a mindset of righteousness and incredible willpower. Most stories of their upbringing include a life altering moment. Whether or not they were cursed by a drider warlock, or they were bitten by the result of a wizard's experiments on a spider, those whose life are irreversibly altered are granted power that infuses them with the attributes of a spider.
Spidey Sense
At the 3rd level, your ki enhanced perception gives you the ability to foretell danger. You can’t be surprised while you are conscious and other creatures don’t gain advantage on attack rolls against you as a result of being hidden from you. Additionally you add your Wisdom modifier to initiative rolls.
Web Slinger
At the 3rd level, when you choose this tradition, your control over your ki allows you to conjure web-like threads that shoot from the palm of your hands and stick onto surfaces. When used in combat, they fade 6 seconds after used and when used out of combat your web threads have the properties of hempen rope and stay until broken.
Web Zip
At the 6th level, as an action, you may choose a solid surface within 120 feet of you. A web thread shoots from your hand and attaches there, as part of the action you may move up to your speed in a straight line toward where you attached the web.
Proportional Strength
At the 11th level, your body’s inherent physique has been enhanced by the Spider. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift and you can use your Dexterity score in place of your Strength score for determining any strength-based ability checks or for determining carrying capacity or weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Force of Will
At the 17th level, when damage reduces you to 0 hit points, you may expend 1 ki point to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 5 + the damage taken). On a success, you instead drop to 1 hit point. You can't use this feature if you are reduced to 0 hit points by a critical hit. If you use this feature more than once before taking a short or long rest, every use of this feature increases the ki cost by 1.
Spider Disciplines
You learn two disciplines of your choice at the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 18th, and 20th level's.
Distracting Web
At the 6th level, as an action, you may shoot a burst of web at a creature attempting to blind or deafen them. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw or be blinded or deafened until the end of your next turn. If the creature fails their save, you may expend 1 ki point to make an unarmed strike.
Fight or Flight
At the 3rd level, as a reaction to being targeted by an attack or the frightened condition, you may expend 2 ki points to become invisible for 1 minute. Attacking a creature or casting a spell breaks this invisibility.
Alternatively, you can expend 2 ki points to be immune to the frightened condition and have your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 for 1 minute.
Impact Web
At the 17th level, you gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is bludgeoning, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.
When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action.
When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.
Reactive Sling
At the 6th level, you can use your Deflect Missiles feature even if the target of the projectile isn't you, provided they are within 30 feet of you, but you cannot make a ranged attack with the weapon deflected.
Spider Reflexes
At the 3rd level, when you are targeted with an attack, you may spend 1 ki point as a reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack. If the attack misses, you may move 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks, or make an unarmed strike.
Venom Strike
At the 11th level, as part of stunning strike, you may spend 1 ki point to deal 2 additional martial arts die of poison damage if the creature fails their saving throw. If this damage reduces the target to below a fourth of the creature's maximum hit points, it is instead paralysed until the end of your next turn.
Wall Crawl
At the 3rd level, by using your ki to precisely manipulate the positive and negative charges of creatures and objects you can stick your body onto them. You gain the ability to move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving your hands free. You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
Weaver of Words
At the 3rd level, you may cast the cantrip Vicious Mockery as a bonus action using Wisdom as your spellcasting stat. Additionally in combat, if a hostile creature misses you or an ally within range of the spell with an attack you may cast Vicious Mockery as a reaction targeting the creature.
Web Burst
At the 6th level, by expending 2 ki points, you may cast the Web spell without material and verbal components using Wisdom as your spellcasting stat. Additionally, you can move through your webs unimpeded.
Web Cocoon
At the 17th level, as a reaction when you take damage, you can spend 3 ki points to entomb yourself in web, which fades away at the end of your next turn. You gain 5 temporary hit points per monk level, which take as much of the triggering damage as possible. Immediately after you take the damage, you gain vulnerability to fire damage, your speed is reduced to 0, and you are incapacitated. These effects, including any remaining temporary hit points, all end when the cocoon fades.
Web Glider
At the 3rd level, you are able to form webs into wings to glide. Your glide speed assumes that you fall by 5 feet every turn, and must move your full glide speed movement in any direction but up. The creature/ pilot can choose to dive by converting horizontal movement into downward movement. Glide speed is 1.5 times your normal movement speed.
Web Pull
At the 6th level, as a bonus action, you can shoot a line of sticky web rope at a creature you can see within 30 feet of you. It must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pulled to an unoccupied space within 15 feet of you. If it is Large or smaller, you can move it into the air; otherwise, you can only pull it along the ground.
Web Slingshot
At the 3rd level, you are able to use your webs on one/two points and pull back to create tension. After desire tension is reached you launch yourself in a forward direction at two times travel speed for a distance up to 1,250 feet.
Zip Strike
At the 6th level, if you target a creature with your Web Zip, you may expend a 1 ki point to make an unarmed strike against it as part of the action. If you moved at least 20 feet, the damage of this strike increases by your Monk level plus your Wisdom modifier.
