Monk
Base Class: Monk

The way of the Bloody Knuckle is an unorthodox and brutal fighting style that often lacks the formal teachings or trainings of other monk paths. These monks rely on fast, decisive strikes and sure footed evasion to dispatch foes efficiently and brutally. Warriors that follow this path often lack the traditions and formality of typical monks, instead unlocking their ki through self-determination and supernatural fighting instinct.

Expert Athlete

When you choose this path at 3rd level you reach a level of physical litness and raw strength unseen in most monks. You gain proficiency in the Athletics skill and Strength saving throws if you do not already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies

Old One-Two

Also at 3rd level you learn to string unarmed strikes into devastating knockout combos. When you land two unarmed strikes in a row against a creature, you can choose one of the following effects to impose on the creature:

  • The next attack against the target this round has +2 to hit
  • The target is deafened until the start of your next turn
  • The target is pushed 5 feet back if they are at most one size larger than you

Bob and Weave

By 6th level, your experience getting into scraps and brawls has taught you how to deftly avoid enemy attacks and then exploit their openness with brutal counterattacks. After a creature misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to spend 1 ki point and immediately make a single unarmed attack against them.

Down But Never Out

By 11th level you've become well accustomed to physical punishment and knockout blows. If vou are unconscious at the start of your turn, you can spend 2 ki points and your action to regain consciousness. When you do so, you regain 1 hit point and gain an additional amount of temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier plus half your monk level

The cost of using this feature increases by 2 ki points each time you use it before completing a long rest, after which it resets to costing 2 points.

Unending Blows

At 17th level your speed and aggression is unmatched, allowing you to throw out a constant stream of blows. If both of your hands are free, when you use flurry of blows you can make three unarmed strikes instead of two.

Additionally when using your Bob and Weave feature you can spend 1 additional ki point to make an additional unarmed attack as part of the same reaction.
