Base Class: Warlock
You have tied your soul to the occult powers wielding a mystical deck. The Deck's powers are not inherently good or evil, and simply seek to read, understand, and twist the fates. However, you may find yourself beholden to the entity behind the deck, if any, and subject to their wills and whims.
Entities like this include Beshaba, Goddess of Misfortune; Tymora, Goddess of Good Fortune; and Savras, God of Fate.
Expanded Spell List
1st-level Deck Feature
The Deck lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
WARLOCK LEVEL | SPELLS |
---|---|
1st | bless, bane |
3rd | augury, locate object |
5th | bestow curse, clairvoyance |
7th | divination, locate creature |
9th | commune, legend lore |
Attuned to the Deck
1st-level Deck Feature
Your connection to The Deck gives you a mystical connection to all cards. You can use a tarokka deck, or any magical deck, as a spellcasting focus for your Warlock spells.
Additionally, you gain proficiency with playing card sets.
Channel Arcana
1st-level Deck Feature
Whenever you finish a long rest, you can choose which card type within the Minor Arcana you can channel in times of need: Wands, Cups, Swords, or Pentacles. Whenever you make an ability check or saving throw associated with the card type you choose, you can use your reaction to make that roll with advantage. You can choose to use this feature after you have made the roll, but before the GM determines whether the ability check or saving throw succeeds or fails.
Starting at 10th-level, you can consult the Major Arcana, rather than a card type from the Minor Arcana.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you complete a long rest.
CARD TYPE | ASSOCIATED ABILITY SCORE |
---|---|
Wands | Charisma |
Cups | Wisdom |
Swords | Intelligence |
Pentacles | Strength |
Major Arcana | Constitution |

Arcane Reading
6th-level Deck Feature
When you cast a Warlock spell from the school of divination, you can substitute your deck in the place of any material components normally required, unless the components are consumed by the spell.
Additionally, when you cast a Warlock spell from the school of divination, you can choose to cast it as a ritual instead (the spell needn't normally be a ritual spell to be cast in this way).
Tarrokan Resistance
6th-level Deck Feature
Your body becomes suffused with the energy associated with the card type you channel. You have resistance to a damage type determined by the chosen card type: fire (Wands), cold (Cups), slashing (Swords), bludgeoning (Pentacles), or force (Major Arcana).
Tarrokan Resistance - Cups
You have resistance to cold damage.
Tarrokan Resistance - Major Arcana
You have resistance to force damage.

You have resistance to bludgeoning damage.

Enchanted Deck
10th-level Deck feature
Whenever you cast a Warlock spell with a casting time of one action and a range of self or touch, you can choose to target your deck instead. As part of the action used in the spells casting, you then immediately throw a card from your deck at a creature you can see within 30 feet. The creature is subjected to the effect(s) of the spell as if you were the caster, which uses your spell attack modifier/spell save DC, and which you must maintain concentration on if required, as normal. If you target an unwilling creature, they can make a DEX save against your spell save DC. If the target succeeds, they avoid the thrown card, and the spell is lost. On a fail, they are subjected to the effect(s) of the spell, as normal.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
Tarrokan Imprisonment
14th-level Deck feature
Whilst you have your deck in hand, you can cast the imprisonment spell, without using a spell slot and requiring no material components. When you cast this spell in this way, you must use the Minimus Containment form of imprisonment, and must your deck as the special spell component. This spell instead has a duration of 24 hours, and counts as a 6th-level spell for the purposes of dispel magic, counterspell, or other similar spells/features.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest. If you attempt to trap a second creature whilst the first is already trapped in your deck, the casting fails, you take 1d10 force damage per Hit Die of the first creature, and the first creature is immediately released from the deck, appearing in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you.
