Base Class: Ranger
A type of ranger that focuses on keeping anomalous creatures from damaging the peace in cities and towns. They have various anomalous powers to secure the anomalies, contain them, and protect the people.
Aberrant Familiar
You can have an Aberrant familiar that is Large, Medium, Small, or Tiny and has a max challenge rating of 3.
Anomalous Targets
At 3rd level, you gain one of the following features of your choice:
Behemoths
When you fight creatures that are generally considered monstrous in nature, you can use your reaction to take half damage from an attack by it.
Leviathans
When you are attacked by a Huge or larger creature, you can use your reaction to block the attack. This allows you to make a Strength saving roll to stop the attack.
Magical
When you are fighting a spellcaster, you can use a spell slot of the corresponding level to keep them from using a certain spell. If you do this, they must succeed on a wisdom saving throw.
Mutations
At 7th level, you can choose one of these features:
Claws
You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. Your unarmed attack does 1d8 + your Strength modifier slashing damage instead of the normal bludgeoning damage.
Third Eye
You have a third eye in the middle of your forehead that has Blindsight and Darkvision.
Wings
You have wings and a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
Arcane Anomaly
An arcane anomaly allows you to cast some additional spells.
Anomalous Origin
You can choose from three different anomalies you will gain the power of.
You need certain features from the Mutations to get each one.
Guardian's Light
You are constantly covered in heavenly light that stretches 5 feet and are immune to radiant damage. You can cast Divine Word at will.
Reptilian Adaptation
You are weak to acid, but get scales and are resistant to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-magical attacks. You can cast Dominate Beast and Animal Friendship at will.
Scarlet Crown
You have a ruby crown and horns. You are immune to fire and can cast Meteor Swarm at will.
