Monk
Base Class: Monk

These monks follow the teachings of an elusive mythical figure known as The Monkey King, said to have undertaken an epic journey to the west in times almost forgotten.

Eight-Ton-staff Training Achieving great strength and mastering the use of the quarterstaff are some basic tenets of those who follow the Monkey King. Starting at 3rd level you can spend 1 ki point to add double your Strength modifier to the damage roll of an attack using a monk weapon or an unarmed strike, provided that the attack roll also used Strength as its modifier. Additionally your training with the quarterstaff makes it deadlier in your hands. Its base damage becomes 1d8 and 1d10 if used with two hands as per its versatile property.

Attack Everywhere At 6th level you learn the Monkey King’s Ability to make a multitude of Attacks. For 2 Ki Points you can attack once in every adjacent space. If you have the 8 ton staff, you can spend 2 more points to reach into every adjacent space with in 10 ft, and 2 more points for every adjacent space within 15 feet

Hairspawn Clone Followers of the Monkey King can create a physical clone of themselves to serve as an ally during combat starting at 11th level. To use this ability the follower must, after a long rest, perform a special ritual that takes 10 minutes and requires a lock of hair from the follower and 100gp worth of incense and jade, which the ritual consumes. The follower will then be able to summon a clone once during a period of 48 hours. The clone can be summoned during combat as a bonus action and at the cost of 3 ki points. It takes its actions during your turn, but after you have taken all your Follower of The Monkey King actions. It has the exact game statistics as the main character and can take any action the original character would be able to take. The original character and the clone share the same ki point, hit point and possible temporary hit point pools, so if one takes damage both are affected and ki points are depleted more rapidly. Despite that they are considered two separate characters for any other effects. Keeping a clone during combat costs 1 ki point per turn. The clone vanishes if the original character falls unconscious or dies. It can also be dismissed as a bonus action at any of the monk’s turns.

Heavenly Transformations When they reach 17th level the Followers of the Monkey King gain their master’s ability to shapeshift into various forms, animate or inanimate. At the cost of 8 ki points you can cast the true polymorph spell on yourself, requiring no material components. However the transformation is never permanent, and you revert to your normal form as soon as concentration is broken or one hour has passed. It is not possible to use this feature while maintaining a clone. You are also considered a natural shapeshifter for determining if certain spells and similar effects can affect you. Most followers that reach this level of mastery favor the form of a giant ape as their primary alternate polymorphed form.
