1.2 after reviewing the other monk subclasses more closely I decided to have damage of psionic abilities be based off of your martial arts die+ intelligence . In my haste to upload the first draft I forgot to let you use your intelligence modifier in place of wisdom modifier for unarmored defense. I also have decided to limit the amount of Psionic enhancements you can learn each level to bring it more in line with similar subclasses. A Psionic Die is equal to 1 ki point when using the enhancements. 1.1 At third level you develop Psionic abilities, these are represented by your Psionic dice, you are given an amount equal to two times your proficiency bonus and these come back on a long rest, starts at a D6, at 5th level it increases to D8, 11th a D10, and 17th a D12, the extra damage is force damage. Your Ki saving throw is 8 + intelligence modifier + proficiency bonus.

Psionic Awakening

At third level you develop Psionic abilities, these psionic abilities are accessed through your connection with ki. Upon developing these abilities you can choose how they manifest choosing from an expanding list at 3rd level you can one from a list of three ways to augment your monk abilities. 

  • Watchful presence. You can spend a ki point to decrease the amount of damage coming your way or an allies within 30 feet by the amount rolled on one of your martial arts die + proficiency bonus.  When using deflect missiles you can spend an additional ki point to add the damage of your martial arts die + intelligence modifier to the redirected projectile.

  • Psionic Blast.  You can also spend a Ki Point to make a ranged unarmed attack of 30 feet normal and 60 feet long, the damage determined by this attack is rolled on your Martial Arts Die + intelligence modifier + proficiency bonus and if the hit connects they must make a strength saving throw against your Ki Save and you can choose to either pull them 10 feet closer to you, or push them 10 feet further away at 6th level you gain the choice to teleport to the creature, no save needed.

  • Psionic Palm. You can spend a ki point during an unarmed strike to add damage equal to one die higher than your martial arts die, must choose to use this before rolling for attack.

Psionic Palm

Sheathe your hand in Psionic energy before making an unarmed strike adding force damage to the attack. You can spend a ki point during an unarmed strike to add damage equal to one die higher than your martial arts die, must choose to use this before rolling for attack. 

Watchful presence.

  • You can spend a ki point to decrease the amount of damage coming your way or an allies within 30 feet by the amount rolled on one of your martial arts die + proficiency bonus.  When using deflect missiles you can spend an additional ki point to add the damage of your martial arts die + intelligence modifier to the redirected projectile.

 

Psi Warrior

You grow more attuned to your new found Psionic abilities, The damage type for Flurry of Blows is changed from Bludgeoning to Force. You can also use a Psionic augment for free once per a long rest. 

Psionic Student

As you use your psionic abilities on a more frequent basis you learn new ways to augment your monk abilities. Choose two more options from the choices below.

  • Watchful presence. You can spend a ki point to decrease the amount of damage coming your way or an allies within 30 feet by the amount rolled on one of your martial arts die + proficiency bonus.  When using deflect missiles you can spend an additional ki point to add the damage of your martial arts die + intelligence modifier to the redirected projectile. 
  • Psionic Blast.  You can also spend a Ki Point to make a ranged unarmed attack of 30 feet normal and 60 feet long, the damage determined by this attack is rolled on your Martial Arts Die + intelligence modifier + proficiency bonus and if the hit connects they must make a strength saving throw against your Ki Save and you can choose to either pull them 10 feet closer to you, or push them 10 feet further away at 6th level you gain the choice to teleport to the creature for an additional ki point, no save needed.

  • Psionic Wave.  You can spend an additional ki point to augment Flurry of blows to become an AOE in a 15 wide by 10 foot range as you shoot out a flurry of Psionic waves with your fist, it will do two of your Psionics die + proficiency bonus +intelligence modifier in damage on a failed dex save and half as much on a successful one, you can increase the damage by a martial arts die for each Ki you spend. 
  • Psionic Slam. You can spend an additional ki point to augment your flurry of blows, with each hit the target must succeed a strength saving throw against your Ki saving throw or be knocked prone, as well as roll one Martial Arts die for extra damage 
  • Psionic Push. You can spend an additional ki point to augment your flurry of blows,  With each hit from your flurry of blows the target of large or smaller, must succeed a strength saving throw against your Ki saving throw or be pushed 20 feet in any direction (if thrown up it's only 15 feet) target can only be pushed by this move once per an activation. If they fail after the first strike, the second will still hit them before they are moved. Roll one Psionic die for extra damage
  • Psionic Disarm. You can spend a ki point to try and pull an item out of your enemies hand using your Psionic energy during an unarmed strike, they must make a strength saving throw against your Ki saving throw, if failed they will drop the chosen object at their feet.  
  • Demonic Visage. When making an unarmed strike you can spend a ki point to attempt to frighten the target using your Psionic abilities, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki. add a martial arts die to the damage. 
  • Psionic Retaliation. When an enemy attack misses you within 5 feet, you can choose to spend a reaction and a ki point to make an unarmed strike back, add the number rolled on your Martial arts die to the damage. 
  • Psionic Disc. You can spend two Ki points to Augment an unarmed strike to throw a 5 foot wide Psionic disc 30 feet, it will travel through enemies dealing two of your Martial Arts die + Proficiency bonus + intelligence  modifier to each enemy on a failed save and half as much on successful save
Demonic Visage

  • When making an unarmed strike you can spend a ki point to attempt to frighten the target using your Psionic abilities, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki. Add a martial arts die to the damage.

Psionic Adept

At 11th level you become more attuned with your Psionic abilities, you now can use a Psionic augment twice without expending Ki each long rest. When you use the step of the wind you gain a flight speed equal to your walk speed until the end of your next turn. Lastly you can choose two more Psionic augments from the list below.

  • Psionic Guard. When using Patient Defense you can subtract half your proficiency bonus rounded up + 1 from the opposing attack roll as you attempt to force the blade off track with your mind. You can now spend one ki points as a reaction to being hit to increase your armor class by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus
Demonic Visage

  • When making an unarmed strike you can spend a ki point to attempt to frighten the target using your Psionic abilities, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki. Add a martial arts die to the damage.

  • As an action you can spend two ki points to cast the Hold Person Spell or levitate, with four you can cast Hold Monster, Telekinesis, or wall of force, Intelligence is your spell casting ability for these spells. 
  • You have resistance to Psychic damage.
