Base Class: Ranger
the Arcane Archer has mastered various arts and Ruins to be able to infuse their weapons with the elemental energies to strike down their foes. they use it to protect themselves and those around them as they shower there Enemies in a hail of fire and ice. The ranger specializes in range weapon as the runes that infuse their attacks can only be applied to Range weapons as the arrows shatter after hitting their foes. The Ranger studies and practices the arcane nature of their surroundings and being able to resist or even be immune to the very elements they infuse into their weapons.
Arcane Runes
At 3rd level, you learn to harness the power of the elements. As a free action on your turn, you may select an element of your choice (Fire, Cold, Ice, thunder, Lightning, or Acid). Your weapon attacks now deal 1d6 additional damage of your chosen Element. Once you choose an Element, you may only switch to another Element as a bonus action.
Every time you successfully hit a target, a rune begins to hover in front of the Ranger's weapon eventually making a circle to shoot through (up to 5). As a bonus action, you may activate your runes. The Elemental damage on your next successful attack is increased by a number of dice [d6] equal to the number of Elemental Rune stacks you have accumulated, and the rune stacks are then lost.
At level 7, your maximum Elemental Rune stacks increases to 10.
Rune of Protection
At 7th level, your connection with the elements deepens. At the end of a Short of Long Rest, you may choose one Element (Fire, Cold, Ice, thunder, Lightning, or Acid), and gain Resistance to it. You may choose a different Element each time you finish a Short.
Level 11 will allow you one extra resistance to one element type, as well as gain immunity if you are already resistant to a chosen element. On a Short or Long rest you may now change the immunity type as well
Rune of Power
At 11th level, you have honed your connection to the elements to the extreme. You add Force, Radiant, and Necrotic as damage types you may choose from when channeling your Elements in any way.
Rune of Destruction
At 15th level, upon landing a critical hit you can use a reaction to max out the elemental damage done to the enemy as well as triggering the Elemental Explosion effect of your Runes, and they are not consumed in the process. This effect can only be used once per turn
