Base Class: Rogue
Rogues from this archetype are masters of using acid in creative ways. They may not be as stealthy as other rogues, but they’re one of the most useful. Their acidic skill allows them to be one of the most versatile rogues.
Acid exposure
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain resistance to acid damage.
Acidic prowess
Also at 3rd level, your constant exposure to acid has given you insight in how to use it. You gain the following benefits:
You learn the acid splash cantrip, your spell casting ability is dexterity.
You can cast the spell as a bonus action, if you do so the damage is d4s instead of d6s.
When you cast the spell you can coat any piercing weapon you are holding with the acid you create. When you do so the damage automatically applies on top of the damage from your attack. The acid remains on the weapon until you hit with an attack. If the acid remains on the weapon for longer than one minute, if the weapon is nonmagical it is destroyed. You can wipe the acid off the weapon as a bonus action.
You can also use the acid you create when you cast this cantrip on a lock, keyhole, or small object. If the object is nonmagical it slowly takes acid damage every 6 seconds equal to the spells damage. You must remain in contact with the object to continue doing damage this way. The object is destroyed after 1 minute or when it’s reduced to 0 hit points. At the DMs discretion this take longer or not work at all.
Boiling acid
Starting at 9th level, you ignore resistance to acid damage when you deal acid damage using one of features and treat immunity to acid as resistance.
Catalyst
Starting at 13th level, using glass bottles, you can store acid you create in them. They do not eat through the glass bottle as long as it remains closed. They can be thrown by you or someone else and mimic a casting of the acid splash cantrip by you. Acid damage done by your acid ignores immunity completely.
Acid coating
At 17th level, you gain the ability to coat an enemy in acid. If you are within 5 feet of an enemy and use your action to cast acid splash on them and they fail the saving throw the damage is done to them at the end of each of your turns in a decaying manner. (4d6 when you cast it, 3d6 at the end of your next turn, 2d6, etc) this can stack to a maximum of 6d6 and reduces their AC by 3 while they are coated in acid this way.
