Base Class: Barbarian
Most barbarians require weapons. For barbarians following the Path of the Brawler, however, everything is their weapon.
Fists of Fury
3rd-level Path of the Brawler feature
You gain proficiency with improvised weapons. In addition, when you hit with your Unarmed Strike or an improvised weapon and deal damage, you can deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d8 plus your Strength modifier instead of the normal damage. The die changes when you reach certain barbarian levels: a d10 at level 8, and a d12 at level 14.
Knuckle Down
3rd-level Path of the Brawler feature
While you are raging and not wielding a shield, whenever you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or improvised weapon, you can choose to forgo your rage damage on that attack to empower it with one of the following effects.
Haymaker. You gain temporary hit points equal to your rage damage bonus. If the target is grappled by you, you instead gain temporary hit points equal to twice your rage damage bonus.
Facebreaker. The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). On a failed save, the creature can't take reactions until the start of its next turn. If the target is grappled by you, it is instead stunned until the start of its next turn.
Showstopper. The target must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). On a failed save, you can push it up to 10 feet away from you. If the target is grappled by you, you can instead leap up to 10 feet with the creature and knock it prone when you land.
Shattering Strikes
6th-level Path of the Brawler feature
While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- Your unarmed strikes and attacks with improvised weapons can instead deal force damage, or their normal damage type.
- Your unarmed strikes and attacks with improvised weapons deal double damage against objects and structures.
Stop Hitting Each Other
10th-level Path of the Brawler feature
You can grapple creatures up to two sizes larger than you, instead of one.
Additionally, you can use creatures you have grappled that are at least one size smaller than you as improvised weapons. When you do so, when you hit with an attack using a creature as a weapon, it takes bludgeoning damage equal to your Strength modifier. While raging, you can instead use creatures your size or smaller as improvised weapons.
Enforcer
14th-level Path of the Brawler feature
When you would make an unarmed strike or attack with an improvised weapon with advantage, you can choose to forgo the advantage. If you do so, you score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 for that attack, and on a hit, you deal maximum damage instead of rolling.
