Base Class: Bard

Level 3: Bardic Puppetry

You gain a puppet which you express your artistic gifts, you fuel this puppet with your bardic magic. You can use the puppets or its control bar as your spellcasting focus. You can project your voice through the puppet.

The puppet is a small or medium construct and has 2 + your CHA modifier + 5x your bard level of hit points and AC equal to 13+ your CHA modifier. It uses your ability scores and saving through proficiencies. You can move the puppets 30 ft in a turn in a 30 ft radius around you (no action required). When you use your attack action, you can use the puppets to make the attack using your spell casting modifier to hit and dealing 1d8+CHA piercing damage. You can also cast spells through the puppets location. At 10th level the puppet can move in a 120ft radius around you, and gains a hover speed equal to its movement speed.

You are tethered with your puppets with magical strings in a straight line between you. These strings are considered as difficult terrain for creatures of your choice.

As a reaction when you are subjected to a lasting spell effect (such as Heroism, Disguise Self or Warding Wind) you can extend the effect of the spell by spending a bardic inspiration to your puppets as well. If the spell requires concentration, it counts the concentration for all the targets.

Level 3: Protective Performance

Your puppets can protect other creatures near them. As a bonus action, you can expend and roll one of your bardic inspirations to give each creature of your choice in 5 ft radius of your puppets a bonus equal to the roll to their AC until the start of your next turn. If a creature who has gained this bonus to their AC moves away from the radius, they lose this benefit. At 10th level the radius increases to 15ft.

You can move creatures restrained this way 10 ft in any direction in your turns (no action required). Creatures restrained this way can use their action to try and break free by re-making the save.

Also when you use your attack action to attack through your puppets, you can force each creature restrained this way to make one of their melee attacks as well.
