Bard
Base Class: Bard

Preach the words of the Divine

Bards of the College of Devotion understand the relationship between mortality and the gods, devoting themselves to the teachings of these higher beings. Bards of this college tell the stories of the gods through song and dance, portraying their values within performances to the many looking for guidance within life. They seek out great cathedrals throughout the land, great stages to perform their prayers aloud to any that would heed the words of their chosen god.

Oathbound Performer

Whenever you reach a Bard level (including this level) and the Prepared Spells number in the Bard Features table increases, you can choose any of your new prepared spells from the Paladin spell list, and the chosen spells count as Bard spells for you. In addition, whenever you replace a spell prepared for this class, you can replace it with a spell from the Paladin list.

You also gain the Guiding Bolt, Sacred Flame and Shining Smite spells, which count as Bard spells for you and are always prepared.

Inspiring Radiance

When you inspire a creature during your turn, you can envelop that creature in a radiant energy that emits outward in a 5ft emanation around them. Until the end of that creature's next turn, when another creature starts it's turn in the emanation or enters the emanation, it takes 1d6 Radiant damage if it is not considered your ally.

A creature can only take damage from this ability once per turn.

Favored Gestures

Once per short rest, you can use your Bonus Action to make a Performance Ability Check against a DC of 12. If you succeed, you regain an expended usage of your Bardic Inspiration.

Actor of Divinity

As a Magic Action, you can choose 1 creature you can see within 60ft (including yourself); An avatar of radiant energy forms behind, assisting them in battle. The avatar is intangible and occupies the same space as the chosen creature, following slightly behind them as they move.

Roll your Bardic Inspiration die. The chosen creature gains temporary hit points equal to four times the amount rolled plus 20 and the creature cannot gain temporary hit points until these temporary hit points are lost. While the creature still has these temporary hit points, whenever it makes a successful weapon attack on another creature, you can roll your Bardic Inspiration die and deal radiant damage to that creature equal to the result. If the temporary hit points given by this ability are lost, the effect ends and the avatar fades away.

You can only use this ability once per long rest.
