Base Class: Bard
Rock Stars are bards who concentrate on loud, energetic live performances, place an emphasis on touring, and generally become involved in scandals. Many of these bards are rebellious figures and are usually regarded as bad influences on the impressionable youth. Rock Stars also love partying. And groupies.
Since I kinda play bards like a typical '80s hard rock/hair metal musician (horny, alcoholic, arrogant, degenerate, not terribly intelligent, etc.), I decided an entire subclass devoted to that would be fun. The world never asked for this, but they got it anyway.
Hard Partier
As a veteran of post-concert parties, you know how to go wild with the best of them. You are even exceptionally skilled at shrugging off the effects of various substances. You have resistance to poison damage, and advantage on saving throws against poison.
Louder Than Everyone Else
You live loud, love loud, ARE loud. As a result, you specialize in being eardrum-rupturingly loud. You add the Turn It Up To 11* spell to your spell list, and it doesn't count against your number of known spells.
*Homebrew spell
Axe Smash
As a veteran performer, you know that spectacle is half the show. Accordingly, you have learned how to dramatically and effectively smash your lute (or lyre), which is sometimes referred to as an "axe". When you take an action to do so, smashing your lute (or lyre) causes you to send a shockwave through the ground. All creatures within 15 feet must succeed a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, they are stunned for 1 round, and you have advantage on your next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.
Facemelter
By 6th level, you have become so suffused with the power of rock that you have gained the ability to play a fiery solo that can cause physical damage. As an action on your turn, you may play a facemelting solo. When you do so, any creatures you choose within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw equal to your spell save DC or take 6d6 fire damage and have their face melted. On a success, they take half damage. A creature with a melted face is blinded.
Stage Presence
As a master performer, you have acquired an exceptional ability to work a crowd. While playing your lute (or lyre), you can make a Charisma (Persuasion) check to evoke a mood or sway people to your side. Depending on your roll, you may influence more or less of the crowd, up to a maximum number of your Bard level times ten. 1-10 is none, 11-15 is 25%, 16-20 is 50%, 21-25 is 75%, and 26+ is 100%. You may only influence nonhostile humanoids. You can cause a riot, but the affected people will not recklessly endanger their lives for you or fight for you. The effect lasts for 1 hour. You may only use this feature once per day.
