Base Class: Fighter
Dragoons are powerful physical attackers who wield pole arms. They wear special armor meant to invoke the imagery of dragons, including helmets shaped like a dragon's head, spikes, and wing and scale designs. Dragoons are sometimes more directly tied to dragons, such as owning them as pets or otherwise befriending them. Dragoons are often protectors of others
The originality Dragoons were mounted infantry; they would ride into battle and then dismount to fight. They didnt use pole arms relying on more on a ranged weapons. They later ended up becoming heavy cavalry. Dragoons later rode dragons and wyverns then fighting with pole arms. Later on, they lost their dragons and wyverns, and they now fight on foot using their bonds with their dragon to empower them as they fight.
Dragoons Proficiency
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, History, Insight, Performance, or Persuasion. Additionally , you learn to speak draconic.

Starting at 3rd level, you bond you spirt with that of a dragon of your choice. You have advantage on saving throws against effects you can see.You also gain specific benefits depending on the draconic spirt you choose .
Finally,This also affects your draconic jump ability.
Black Draconic Spirit (Chaotic Evil)
You gain the ability to resist lightning damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability up to your proficiency modifier and you also gain advantage on initiative rolls additionally when in water you become much harder to be hit all attacks gain disadvantage when targeting you
once per short rest you have the ability to summon rain that last 1 minute as an action you can dismiss this anytime you want no action required
Blue draconic spirit (Lawful evil)
You gain the ability to resist lightning damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability upto your proficiency modifier, and you also gain the ability to cast the spell mirror image once per long rest.
Additional as a bonus action you can coat your weapon in magical lighting when you strike an enemy with your weapon you deal an extra [roll]1d4[/roll] lightning damage and once per turn you make the bolt jump onto 2 other targets within 5ft dealing or the same one dealing [roll]1d4[/roll] lightning damage
Brass Draconic Spirit (Chaotic good)
You gain the ability to resist fire damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability upto your proficiency modifier and you gain the ability to cast the spell sleep and gain the ability to become immune to being put to sleep by magical and you no longer need to sleep you gain the benefits of a long rest by staying motionless for 4 hours
once per short rest you can coating you weapon in magical sleeping gas making your weapon no longer deal damage but after 3 hits the creature goes unconscious this ends untill sleeper takes damage, or someone uses an action to shake or slap the sleeper awake once under this effect the creature creature becomes immune to this effect for the rest of the day
Undead and creatures immune to being charmed aren’t affected by this spell.
Bronze Draconic Spirit (Lawful good)
You gain the ability to resist lightning damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability upto your proficiency modifier additionally once per turn as part of you attack action you can create thunderclap originates at a point you can see within 30 feet. Each creature within a 10 sq-foot radius centered on that point must make strength saving throw or take 1d10 thunder damage and be knocked prone.
Copper Draconic Spirit(Lawful good)

You gain the ability to resist poison damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round and you also gain the ability to cast the fog cloud once per short rest and the spell disguise self upto your proficiency bonus
once per short rest as a bonus action you can create an aura of toxic gas within 5ft of you everyone that stays within that aura automatically becomes poisoned taking [roll]1d6[/roll] poison damage at the start of their turn until they leave your aura this effect last for a minute until you dismiss this no action required
Red Draconic Spirit (Chaotic evil)
You gain the ability to resist fire damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability upto your proficiency modifier additionally as a bonus action you can invoke the destructive power of a red dragon to gain advantage on all attack for one turn upto your proficiency bonus
once per short rest you can coat your weapon in magical fire for one minute as an action and deal an additional [roll]2d4[/roll] [type]fire[/type] damage on attacks
Silver Draconic Spirit(Lawful good)
You gain the ability to resist cold damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability upto your proficiency modifier additionally as an action once per short rest you can coat you weapon in a paralyzing toxin once per turn when you strike a creature with you weapon you can cause them to make constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for the rest of the turn
White Draconic Spirit(Chaotic evil)
You gain the ability to resist cold damage as a reaction when hit with the type of damage for one round you can use this ability upto your proficiency modifier and you gain the ability to cast the spell gust of wind and fog cloud when you cast these spells a huge gust of hail or snow replaces the wind or fog you can cast these spells upto 3 times per day
additionally once per short rest as an bonus action you become focused on a singular opponent that all your attacks have advantage giving you an extra [roll]3d4[/roll] extra damage when targeting that opponent while all attacks against any one else have disadvantage this last for a minute or until the target dies, or you are incapacitated.
Dragoons jump
As an action you can magically conjure draconic wings and leap in to the air until you can no longer be seen. You become immune to targeting and damage and using you can’t use any other action after you use this ability until you land when you take this action until you land at the start of your next turn within 30 feet of the point of the leap.
At the start of you next turn you land with an great impact dealing 2d12 elemental damage depending on the element of the dragon chosen for your draconic spirit feature. Upon landing everyone within 5ft must make a dexterity saving throw to avoid the impact of the attack and avoid falling prone This feature improves as you level up.You can use this feature up to your proficiency modifier. You can only use this feature if you are wielding a pole aren’t and aren’t wearing heavy armor
Enhanced Draconic bond
At 7th level, your draconic bond emboldens your will and pole arm that you become immune to the frighted and charmed condition. Additionally your draconic bond now affects your pole arm and draconic jump to a point that your attacks can now bypass a level of resistance on a hit from inmune to Resistant or resistant to taking normal damage this also affects if your weapon gains a elemental affinity from your draconic spirit feature
Draconic Awakening
At 10th level, When you use your action surge your draconic bond awakens adding dragon scales to your armor matching the type of dragon of your draconic spirit feature to your armor adding a +2 to your ac score for a minute and reducing all damage you take by half until the start of your next turn
Mirage Draconic Dive
Starting at 15th, when using you Draconic Dive you now cause after images of your self landing making everyone have disadvantage on the dexterity saving throw also when you land you also can cause your self to appear behind an opponent within 5ft of the landing spot. When you attack opponents from behind you gain a damage bonus equal to your level to one attack per turn
Dragoons Mastery
Starting at level 18 depending on the group of dragon you choose for your draconic spirit you will gain a benefit showing your mastery of you draconic bond and being a dragoon
Chromatic dragons gain Tiamat’s Blessing
When taking a chromatic dragon as part of you draconic spirt feature you can use now use the ability Double Draconic Dive once per short rest you can use draconic dive twice instead of once as an action letting you land and deal damage twice. This can also be reset if you kill an opponent.

When taking a metallic dragon as part of you draconic spirt feature when you use your draconic dive you can heal upto half the amount of damage you deal when you land you can only use this feature once per short rest. This can also be reset if you kill an opponent.
