Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Thunder and Lightning harness the primal forces of nature, channeling crackling lightning and resounding thunder into their martial arts. These monks strike like lightning, swift and precise, and their power reverberates with thunderous force, overwhelming their foes.

To Become one with Thunder and Lightning, one must complete the Storm's Trials

The Storm's Trials

Initiates of the monastery must undergo the "Storm’s Trials," a series of grueling challenges designed to test their physical resilience, mental focus, and spiritual harmony:

1. The Lightning Path: Initiates must ascend the storm-laden peak barefoot during an active thunderstorm, dodging lightning strikes while remaining attuned to the storm’s rhythm.

2. The Thunder’s Voice: They must meditate within the Echoing Cavern, a chamber deep within the mountain where thunder reverberates endlessly. Only those who can calm their minds amidst the cacophony can proceed.

3. The Eye of the Storm: Finally, they must balance atop the Stormspire, the monastery’s highest pinnacle, and demonstrate their mastery of storm-based ki techniques under the watchful eyes of the elders.

Storm Step: You can become one with the storm to travel instantly. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Each creature within 10 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or take thunder damage equal to your monk level and be deafened until the end of your next turn.

Additionally, your unarmed strikes now deal lightning or thunder damage instead of bludgeoning damage if you choose.
