Base Class: Wizard
Aquae Chorum is a wizard subclass that draws upon the fluidity and grace of water to channel their magical power. These wizards shape blades made of liquid, weaving them with every movement in a dazzling dance that mesmerizes their foes. As they fight, their motions mimic the flowing currents of lakes, rivers, and oceans—fluid, effortless, and beautiful, yet deadly in their precision. Naturally attuned to the rivers, lakes and oceans around them Aquae Chorum wizards excel in controlling water mastering its forms to carve through enemies, control the battlefield, and embody the fluid, ever-changing nature of the world’s waters. In combat, the wizard's movements seem like a dance—graceful pirouettes, sweeping arcs of water, and sharp, sudden thrusts. They often appear to glide rather than walk, their robes flowing around them like water itself. Their mastery of movement and water allows them to flow around their opponents, dodging attacks with the smoothness of a river’s current, and striking with the speed and precision of a waterfall crashing onto rocks.
Dancing Blade
3rd-level Aquae Chorum feature
Beginning when you choose this school, you can use your bonus action to create any non-magical weapon that deals slashing damage, bonding yourself to it. You can freely choose the form that this weapon takes each time you create it weaving conjured water into blades that shimmer with the grace and lethal nature of rippling water, however it doesn't affect how the weapon functions. Otherwise you can complete a 1 hour ritual to bond with any weapon that deals slashing damage including magical weapons; your dancing blade ignores any penalties when attacking underwater. The blades are not solid, but are formed from swirling liquid, razor-sharp edges made from condensed water that can change shape mid-swing—like the waves crashing against rocks or the delicate swirls of a river current. You are proficient with this weapon and you can use it as your spell casting Focus. Whenever you attack with this weapon, you can use your Intelligence modifier for attacks and damage rolls instead of Dexterity or Strength. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
As your understating over your weapon grows it becomes more potent. You have +1 to attack and damage rolls with your dancing blade at 6th level, +2 at 10th level and +3 at 14th level. These bonuses only take effect with the weapon you create or they replace the bonus provided by a magical weapon you are bonded to if it's lower than the one provided by this subclass.
Expanded Spells
3rd-level Aquae Chorum feature
You become more well versed in casting water spells the deeper you delve into the mysteries of this life sustaining liquid. The ancient secrets of the ocean pulse within your very being, a tidal rhythm that guides your understanding. When reaching a Wizard level specified in the spells table you learn the listed spells adding them to your spell book for free. These spells are considered Wizard spells for you.
| Wizard Level | Spells Learned |
| 3rd | Ice knife, Armor of Agathys, Rime's Binding Ice, *Bubble Barrier |
| 5th | Tidal Wave, *Frigid Smite |
| 7th | *Lucena's Cold Embrace, Watery Sphere |

Relentless Tide
6th-level Aquae Chorum feature
When taking the attack action with your bonded weapon you can make an additional attack. Once per turn you may replace one of your attacks with your bonded weapon elegantly performing your blade dance; Choose one creature that you can see forcing it to make a wisdom saving throw with a DC of 8 + your performance modifier. On a failure they receive a penalty on attack rolls equal to your intelligence modifier until the start of your next turn as they are mesmerised by your graceful performance. Additionally you gain weapon mastery over any bonded weapons you are actively wielding.
Lotus Dance
10th-level Aquae Chorum feature
As a bonus action, you manifest arcane power into the shape of an ethereal lotus centered on you, it follows your movement emanating a 30ft aura covering the ground with still ethereal water for one minute. You dance alongside the lotus, each movement resonating with the water as the flow changes to match the rhythm allowing you to gracefully move like water itself. Once per turn, you may expend 5ft of movement to teleport to any point within the Lotus aura. Additionally, on your turn, you may choose to activate either of the following abilities:
Rippling Waves: As a bonus action your dance causes a surge in the still water creating tidal waves that envelop creatures of your choice within the aura. These creatures must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell save dc, taking cold damage equal to an amount of d10's equal to half your level in this subclass and be knocked prone on a fail, or half on a success and not be knocked prone.
Ethereal Waves: As a bonus action your dance gracefully stirs the lotus awake causing a calming wave to form from it, healing a creature within your aura for an amount of d8's equal to half your level in this subclass. The creature also gains a bonus to their AC equal to your intelligence modifier until the end of their next turn.
You may activate this aura an amount of times equal to half your proficiency modifier rounded down, recharging on a long rest.
Eternal Flow
14th-level Aquae Chorum feature
Your mastery over the arcane magic used to make and enhance your weapons has reached a new level of understanding allowing to control the pressure and speed of it's flow, whenever you make an attack roll with you dancing blade or bonded weapon you may choose to ignore the effects of cover as the destructive pressure cuts through any non-living cover protecting your target; furthermore you can control the temperature of the water forming your blade to allow you to change the damage type of your weapon attacks to cold damage. Additionally every attack you make takes a heavy toll on your opponent as they grow weaker with each successful strike, their determination and prowess steadily being eroded by the endless flow of your weapon; whenever you hit with an attack made by your dancing blade or bonded weapon the target receives a stack of Erosion that lasts for a minute. A creature has a minus to their saves and ac equal to half the amount stacks of Erosion and they take magical slashing damage equal to the total amount of stacks in d4's at the start of their turn.
