Base Class: Fighter
Deep in the Rill's Mouth Mines, chaos erupts. A party of four adventures are at war with a group of gnolls. A barbarian standing his ground against 3 of them, a ranger and a sorcerer taking them down from afar and finally a wraith jumping into combat, flashes of blue surrounding him each time his blade makes contact. All of a sudden the whole room lights up with ethereal light as the Wraith's blade erupts in a blue fire. The fight almost pauses before the wraith stabs his blade into the ground and an explosion erupts around him, destroying the remaining gnolls around him.
A Wraith is a creature that bonds with an ancestral spirit of their choosing. They are deadly warriors that use the powers of that spirit to gain advantage on a battlefield. This feat is usually accomplished through meditation or prayer, and once it is done the bond only grows stronger. Doing this ritual allows said creature to hone the spirits abilities and use them to their advantage, whether that be to dominate the battlefield by control or decimating their opposition through blood and steel.
Ancestral Agility
Blue energy courses through the your body as your ancestor's spirit guides your steps to help you get through terrible situations. Starting at 3rd level, using your ancestor's help, you can move through difficult terrain with unnatural swiftness or break free from non-magical restraints with ease, giving you the ability to cast Freedom of Movement twice per long rest.
Twin Soul
As you fight an enemy in front of you, a blade flies towards your back. As a reaction, your Ancestral Spirit jumps out of your body and blocks the attack as it barely misses you. At 3rd level you gain the ability to utilize the Twin soul ability to possibly nullify an attack against you, as your wraith steps out of your body to protect you. Starting at 3rd level, when hit by an attack, you may roll a counter attack with the incoming attack roll as the DC. If you hit, your wraith steps out of your body to block the incoming attack, preventing all damage to you. You can use this ability twice per long rest
Hit Streak
When you choose this Archetype at 3rd level, every consecutive hit you land increases your weapon damage by +1, to a maximum of +5. If you take damage, this bonus is reduced to zero. When the hit streak reaches maximum, your connection to the Wraith World is channeled through your weapon, lighting it up with ethereal flames, shedding bright light for 20 feet and dim light for another 20 feet as long as the weapon is unsheathed. Using an Action, you can expel the Ethereal Flames using either Execute, Ethereal Blast, or Drain.
Last Chance
Your life is dwindling. All seems lost as the final hit is dealt causing your vision to go black. But in the back of your mind your hear the voice of your Ancestral spirit. "Get up. Dust yourself up and keep fighting. I didn't agree to help you just to watch you die!" At 7th level, upon taking lethal damage, you can choose to use the Last Chance ability. Upon using this ability, you recover one hit point and are not knocked unconscious. Usable once per short rest. This ability does not stack with abilities that do the same thing (i.e. half-orc racial ability)
Brand
A wraith is feared on the battlefield and respected elsewhere. With the touch of your hand you can sooth a gnarling beast or strike fear into the hearts of an enemy. You can dominate the battlefield by control. At 10th level you can cast the Charm spell or the Fear spell without expending a spell slot twice per long rest. DC 10+CHA
Shadow Strike
A group of orcs stand together around a fire. The Wraith watching from afar. In the blink of an eye one of the orcs feels a blade enter his back and an immense force launch him forward into the fire. At 15th level, using your Action you can move through the Wraith World and appear in front of a creature, and make a weapon attack. This attack deals weapon damage plus 1d6 extra force damage and the target must make a Dexterity Saving Throw (DC 15) or be knocked prone.The enemy must be at least 10 feet, but no more than 30 feet away from you. Only usable twice per long rest.
Chain of Death
At 18th level, your ancestor and you have learned the fluidity of each other's movement. You can predict exactly where your wraith wants to go in the wraith world and effectively maneuver there yourself. You can seamlessly pounce through the Wraith World, hitting multiple enemies in rapid succession as long as they are within 20 feet of each other. This attack can chain up to the amount of attacks you have and can only be used once per long rest. on a successful hit the target takes an extra 2d8 necrotic damage. If you use this feature on all of your attack actions it uses all of your movement, any other amount of attacks it only burns half of it. This attack is usable with Action Surge.

Posted Nov 29, 2019Hey, I just wanted to ask, what exactly means the: "Using an Action, you can expel the Ethereal Flames using either Execute, Ethereal Blast, or Drain." from the Hit streak ability.
