College of War bards are a small elite group of bardic warriors trained in the art of hand to hand combat. These bards serve as an elite fighting force used to spread the influence of Graflor in the whole of the Flat Lands. These bards are often sent on independent missions to infiltrate enemy nations and dismantle tensions between the nations at any cost. Most of these bards are traveling performers using their art of story telling to improve the perception of Graflor within the nations. However, there are rumors that the College of War bards have a darker side and that many of them are truly assassins using their charisma to get close to enemy leaders and assassinate them under the guise of artistic expression.  

Level 3: Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency with three skills of your choice.

Level 3: Fighting Inspiration

When you roll a 20 or above on a melee attack hit (to include your proficiency modifiers) you apply Bardic Inspiration to the closest friendly creature. You use your warrior prowess to inspire your party. Your unmatched barbaric charisma leads your party into battle, unlike the bards of other nations you inspire through the art of battle. 

Level 6: Magical Discoveries

You learn two spells of your choice. These spells can come from the Cleric, Druid, or Wizard spell list or any combination thereof. A spell you choose must be a cantrip or a spell for which you have spell slots, as shown in the Bard Features table.

You always have the chosen spells prepared, and whenever you gain a Bard level, you can replace one of the spells with another spell that meets these requirements.

Level 14: Peerless Skill

When you make an ability check or attack roll and fail, you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration; roll the Bardic Inspiration die, and add the number rolled to the d20, potentially turning a failure into a success. On a failure, the Bardic Inspiration isn’t expended.
