Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

This is a fighter subclass that I created to fill that hole at not just a fighter that does more damage in cool ways but one that survives, posters, and uses opportunity to attack instead of brute force. I wanted to create a subclass that allow more tactical thought and resource use like a monks Ki point but as focus points. I wanted to also wanted to focus on single person fighting and picking apart that BBEG without the feeling of cheap abilities like stunning strike or anything that completely immobilizes the enemy. I am a big fan of the Legend of Drizzt and hoped to do his character justice with this subclass

Level 3: 3rd Level- Blade Dance

You gain a number of Focus Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus + Dexterity Modifier (minimum of 1). You regain all expended Focus Points when you finish a short or long rest.

As a bonus action, you can expend 1 Focus Point to begin your Blade Dance, which lasts for 1 minute.

While Blade Dancing:
- Attack rolls made against you have disadvantage.
- Your attack rolls have disadvantage.
- If you make a bonus action attack and possess the Two-Weapon Fighting style, that attack is not made with disadvantage.
- You may end your Blade Dance at the start of your turn (no action required). If you do, you may reactivate it as a bonus action and expend 1 Focus Point, even on the same turn.
- You cannot Blade Dance while wearing heavy armor or using a shield.

Level 3: Agile Defense

While Blade Dancing and not wearing heavy armor or using a shield:

Level 7: 7th Level- Duelist’s Focus

While Blade Dancing, you can designate one creature within 60 feet as your Focus Target (no action required the first time during a Blade Dance).

While you have a Focus Target:
- Your attacks against the Focus Target are made without disadvantage.
- The Focus Target's attacks against you are made without disadvantage.
- All other creatures still have disadvantage attacking you, and you have disadvantage attacking them.

You can change your Focus Target by expending 1 Focus Point and a bonus action.

Level 7: Focus Options

- **Twin Fang** (1 FP, no action): When you hit your Focus Target, deal +1d6 damage of the weapon’s type (once per turn).

Level 10: 10th Level- Focused Evasion

While Blade Dancing, you can expend 1 Focus Point as a bonus action to focus defensively on your Focus Target.

Until you lose concentration or switch targets:
- Your Focus Target has disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
- You have advantage on Dexterity saving throws caused by your Focus Target.

You must succeed on concentration checks when taking damage to maintain this effect.

Level 10: Focus Options

You can trigger this feature multiple times during a single Blade Dance, but only once per turn.

Level 18: Focus Options

- **Final Flourish** (3 FP, Reaction): When your Focus Target drops to 0 HP, make a single melee weapon attack against another creature within reach. If it hits, it’s a critical hit. If no creature is in range, regain 1 Focus Point.
- **Blade Dancer’s Second Wind** (2 FP, Bonus Action): Until the end of your next turn, when you hit your Focus Target, you regain HP equal to half the damage dealt (rounded down). You may use this a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier per long rest (minimum 1).
