Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

This is a new variant of the Hexblade meant to have more a more unique set of traits than the original UA one for 2024. It's meant to focus on having more new, original, improved features to make play more fun! Suggested patron beings include: The Culling King (Made by Willowares), The Monarch of Silk and Glass ( soon to be Made by Me), or the Hexblade Force thingy from 2014 Tasha's.

Accursed Blademaster Spells

Baleful Curse

Beginning at 3rd level you may curse a target as a bonus action once per day. This curse ends when you choose it too, although you can keep it going for a maximum of 24 hours. You may only curse one target at a time this way. A cursed target cannot benefit from short rests and if you attack it with your Dread Blade feature active you score a critical hit with your Dread Blade on a 19 or a 20. You also know the targets location if it is on the same plane of existence as you. As an action you may end the curse. If you do the target takes 2d12 necrotic damage.

Dread Blade

Beginning at 3rd level you are able to channel your masters power into a weapon. Choose two light or one other weapon that you're holding. For 1 minute it acts as your Dread Blade. While holding your Dread Blade you gain the following benefits:

Mastery. You act as though you have proficiency and mastery with the chosen weapon.

Cursed Strikes. You may use your Charisma in place of Dexterity or Strength when you attack with this weapon. Other creatures suffer a -1 to attack and damage rolls using your Dread Blade.

Dark Step. When you reduce a creature to zero hit points with your Dread Blade you can use a bonus action if you are in dim light or darkness to teleport 30 ft. to a location of your choice next to an enemy creature, you may then attack the creature as part of this bonus action. Whenever you use Dark step you suffer 1 level of exhaustion per time you used it after your Dread Blade ends.

Aura of the Cursed One

Each creature within 10 ft. of your cursed target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC=Your spell save DC) at the start of the targets turn or suffer one of the following effects (your choice):

Wither. Each creature that failed has it's speed reduced by 15 ft. until the start of the targets next turn.

Decay. Each creature that failed cannot take reactions and can only attack once normally every turn, if they attack more than once they take 1d4 necrotic damage..

Death. Each creature that failed takes 2d8 necrotic damage. If they succeeded they take half damage only.

Despair. Each creature that failed is frightened and takes 1d6 psychic damage.

Reaped Guardians

Beginning at 10th level you can channel your foes souls to defend you. Whenever you are attacked by a target you can see, if you have killed a target in the last round you may use your reaction to roll a d6. On a 6 the attack misses and the attacker takes 1d8 necrotic damage. On a 4 or 5 you reduce the damage by 2d12. Otherwise nothing happens. If you killed a target affected by your Baleful Curse you roll twice and take the higher result. The damage increases to 2d8 against your cursed foe.

Eldritch Warlord

When you reach 14th level in this subclass you gain the following two abilities:

Reaping Strikes. When you hit a creature with your Dread Blade you deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage, this damage increases to 2d8 against your cursed target.

Call the Dead. Once per long rest you may summon the spirits of your victims. To do so you must spend 1 minute engaged in a special ritual. Once completed you suffer 1 level of exhaustion then you either summon 1 Ghost or a number of Specters equal to your proficiency bonus (Both appear in the Monster Manual). If you choose to summon a Ghost then it lasts for 10 minutes, until you choose to dismiss it as a bonus action, or until it is killed. The Ghost obeys your commands, you can command it as a bonus action. If you summon Specters then name 1 target per specter. Each then teleports to 5 miles away from their target and begins to hunt them down. Alternatively they can guard you. They last until dismissed or for 1 day or until they are killed. They act on their own turn and as they choose.
