Monk
Base Class: Monk

Techniques are derived from the movements of predators in the animal kingdom of natural and magical. The tradition consists of many regional traditions that were eventually combined by a group masters creating the first official temple of the way of the claw. These teachings create a style that locks down and disables an enemy to maximize combat effectiveness.

Puppet Hold

Starting at 3rd level, when you attempt to grapple or shove a creature you can instead use a Dexterity(Acrobatics) check. Grappling a creature grants you advantage on subsequent attacks against it.

Intercepting Grasp

Starting at 6th level, you can lock down the movement of your opponents. You gain the following benefits.

MANTIS POUNCE You can now grapple as an attack of opportunity.

TIGER CARRIES PREY Grappling a creature does not impede your movement speed.

Eagle Death Grip

Starting at 11th level, You refuse to let anyone escape your hold by any means. Any creature has disadvantage in breaking your hold

Joint Break

Starting at 17th level, you master the ways of manipulating the joints and weak points of creatures. When hitting with an unarmed strike against a creature you have grappled, you can spend 3 ki points to roll triple the dice and inflict one of the lingering injuries below:

  • Broken Arm/ Hand They can no longer hold anything with two hands, and they can hold only a single object at a time. They do not benefit from the use of a shield if it was held in that arm.
  • Broken Foot or Leg  Their walking speed is halved and you must use a cane or crutch to move. They fall prone after using the Dash action. They have disadvantage on Dexterity checks made to balance.

The injury heals if you receive magical healing equal to damage dealt. Alternatively, the injury heals after someone sets the bone with a DC 15 Wisdom (Medicine) check and you spend thirty days doing nothing but resting.

Effects of injuries will stack and once you break a limb, you cannot break the same limb again if it still remains broken.
