Base Class: Monk
The Path of Reflection represents the quest for perfect Reactions on the edge of the unpredictable. Your mental and physical training is so exhausting that your every gesture anticipates and responds to opposing movements even before they are realized. By mastering the art of the moment, you transition between reflexes and strategies with millimetric precision.
Level 3: Body like Water
Your intense physical and mental training has awakened your maximum proprioception. You gain Expertise in the Acrobatics skill. In addition, a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) per short rest, you can choose to gain advantage on a saving throw in which you are proficient. You must decide to use this feature before rolling the saving throw.
Level 3: Sharpened Reflexes
You master the art of the Reaction, gaining the following options:
Unarmed Reflex – When you make an opportunity attack against a creature, you can spend 1 Focus Point to make one additional Unarmed Strike against that creature as part of the same reaction.
Evasive Reflex – When you use your reaction to move, you can move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks. If you spend 1 Focus Point, you also gain the benefits of the Dodge action until the start of your next turn.
Refined Reaction – After you take a reaction, you can spend 1 Focus Point to gain one additional reaction. You can do this only once per round, and a maximum number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per short rest.
Level 6: Unshakable Reflex
Your mastery of Reactions deepens:
• You gain one additional Reaction each round (total of 2).
• When you use Deflect Attacks as a Reaction, you can spend 1 to 3 additional Focus Points. For each point spent, add one roll of your Martial Arts damage die to the damage reduction. If you redirect the prevented damage, add one roll of your Martial Arts damage die per Focus Point spent to the redirected damage. This also applies to Deflect Energy, if available. You can use this enhanced deflection a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) per short rest.
• Whenever a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can spend 1 Focus Point to use Flurry of Blows as a reaction against that creature.
Level 11: Pre‑Emptive Action
When a creature within 25 feet of you makes an attack or casts a single‑target spell, you can spend 1 Focus Point as your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll or force a Concentration check (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) for the spell.
If the attack misses or the Concentration check fails, you can spend 1 additional Focus Point to move up to your speed toward the creature without provoking opportunity attacks and make one unarmed strike against it as part of the same reaction.
Level 17: Reflex Supremacy
Your control over the instant reaches its peak:
• You can do two additional Reactions each round (total of 3).
• Whenever you spend 1 or more Focus Points on a Reaction, you regain 1 Focus Point immediately after resolving it, up to a maximum number of points equal to your proficiency bonus per round.
• If you have already used Uncanny Metabolism, you instead regain only 1 Focus Point per round in which you spend at least 1 Focus Point on a reaction, until you finish a long rest.
