Base Class: Monk
The Way of the Zen Master teaches it's students about seeing the truth within one another and supporting other to change the tide of battle. A Master of the Way of Zen are able to gain insight like no other monk would and learn to read the movements of others carefully. They seem people as an extension of themselves, whither it be allies or enemies. Both can be taught and both you can learn from.
They can be wanderers or wise counselors. If found on the battlefield, they can be a beacon of hope or a scourge upon the enemy.
Bonus Proficancies
At 3rd Level, you gain proficiency in the Insight skill if you don’t already have it. If you do, you gain double proficiency. You are able to read other like a book, knowing their thoughts and teaching them the right path to follow down.
You gain Proficiency in Persuasion if not already obtained as well. Convincing someone to change their path when they may be on the wrong one is crucial to the mission of a Way of Zen Monk.
Orbs of Zen
At 3rd Level, you gain orbs of light (Good), twilight (Neutral), or darkness (Evil) depending on alignment. These can be hidden within you until needed. You can have eight out at once and can attack with them. Depending on the alignment of the monk, the orbs will deal different types of damage.
- Light - Radiant
- Twilight - Psychic
- Darkness - Necrotic
You are able to hit targets 60 ft away. Make a ranged attack role and if the target is hit, it deals your monk weapon in radiant damage. On a miss the orb dissipates and can only be recalled after focusing.
“Focusing” takes an action and reclaims all lost orbs.
Orbs of Harmony and Discord
At 6th Level, you gain the Orb of Discord and the Orb of Harmony abilities.

Orb of Discord: As a Bonus Action, you can place this orb on an enemy 60ft. away from you. The creature must make a Wisdom Saving Throw with the DC being your Ki Save DC.
Once placed on a target, all attacks to the creature will do extra damage equal to your monk weapon. This automatically deactivates when the target is killed, unconscious, or breaks line of sight.
- Orb of Harmony: As a Bonus Action, you can place this orb on any willing ally 60 ft away from you. After each turn, the person the orb is attached to is healed for an amount equal to your monk weapon. This automatically deactivates when the ally is killed, unconscious, or breaks line of sight.
Observation of the Mind
At 11th Level, focusing can now be done as a Bonus Action and you can gain short insight into the history of others.
You are able to focus your mind with another and gain knowledge about the other person. With a willing creature, you are able to see three days back into the person’s past and their experiences through their eyes.
Doing this to an unwilling creature, they must make a Wisdom Saving Throw with the DC being you Ki Save DC. If they succeed, they are immune to your observation for 24 hours.
Transcendence
At 17th Level, you gain the power to heal others over a large area. You body grows multiple astral arms to sequel the eight orbs you hold and your body is bathed in the element your orbs are. (Light, Twilight, or Darkness)
Any ally within 30ft of you gains healing to double you monk weapon per turn. This action can last for as many rounds as your Wisdom Modifier. Once it is over, you gain one level of exhaustion.
During the time of Transcendence, you are invulnerable to all types of damage. However, you can only take the movement action while in transcendence. You lose your Orbs of Discord and Harmony if they were on anyone as well.
