Monk
Base Class: Monk

     Level 3

At third level you make a contract with a family of intelligent animals that control a form of ki. You gain a buff based on the family you have a contract with.

 

Owl- When you use your attack action to throw a weapon you can use the bonus action granted by martial arts to throw another weapon. You can spend a ki point to throw two. You don’t have disadvantage on long range throws. Drawing weapons to throw is considered a free action for you.

 

Toad- You gain proficiency in athletics if you don’t already have it. If you grapple a creature you can spend a ki point to double your proficiency bonus for that grapple check. If you have a creature grappled this way your proficiency bonus stays doubled until they escape the grapple.

 

Snake- As a bonus action you can spend a ki point to coat your hands in poison for two turns. Whenever you hit a creature with an unarmed melee attack you can deal an extra die of acid damage equal to your martial arts die. If you activate this ability you gain the benefit of a dodge action until it ends.

Level 6

The family you make a contract with gives you the ability to summon an animal from that family you have to spend half your max hp and half your level in ki points. You can’t regain the hitpoints lost this way until the summon is unsummoned.

 

Owl-

Flying speed: 60 ft. Walking speed 10 ft.

Hitpoints 4 per monk level 

Armor class: 16

2 claw attacks +6 to hit (1d6 + 3) If you hit a creature with a claw attack you don’t provoke opportunity attacks until the end of your turn.

 

Toad- 

Str: 16 Dex: 12 Con: 16 Int: 8 Wis: 12 Cha: 7

Climb speed 30ft. Walking speed 30 ft.

Hitpoints 5 + con mod per monk level

Armor class: 14

Tongue grapple +7 to grapple checks and if you have a creature grappled then the toad automatically succeeds a grapple check against the same creature. 

Arm attack +6 (1d6 +3)

 

Snake-

Str: 12 Dex: 16 Con: 12 Int: 10 Wis: 14 Cha: 10

Swim speed 30ft. Walking speed 30ft.

Hit points 5 +con mod per monk level.

Armor class 15

Acid scales: If a creature successfully attacks the snake they must make a DC 15 con save or take 1d8 acid damage.

Bite +6 to hit. 1d6 +3 piercing and 1d6 poison. 

Level 11

You can spend 10 ki points to summon the normal creature if you spend 11 or more it gets the following effects.

Owl: The owl you summon is now a large creature. It’s strength and dex score increase by two making it strong enough to carry you. It’s claw attacks now do 1d8 slashing.



Toad: The toad you summon is now a large creature. It’s strength and con score increase by 2 each making it strong enough to carry you. It’s arm attack now deals 1d8 damage.

 

Snake: The snake you summon is now a large creature. It’s dex and wisdom score increase by 2 each. It’s bite now does 1d8 piercing and the con save to resist the acid damage is a dc 16 con.

You can’t regain the hit points lost this way until the summon is unsummoned. If it reduced to zero hit points it doesn't die it returns back to it's original home.
