Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Fallen are incredibly rare and unpredictable. Most often they are brought to their newfound life by a powerful necromancer, but many other powerful beings, benevolent or otherwise, have been documented creating these powerful combatants to help achieve their goals.  Often seeking revenge or retribution, these warriors stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

The Fallen use their ki to manifest shadow clones, or portions of shadow clones from their body, as well as create tears in reality. The clones they manifest are connected to them, body and mind, allowing for them to move and fight unpredictably. Their acrobatic prowess is unmatched. No adventurer could ever hope to achieve the supreme level of mobility these monks acquire throughout their training.

While their abilities and nature can appear to be malicious, most of the fallen do not find pleasure in causing pain. Their affairs are often quite personal, and while they seek revenge on those who've wronged them, their goals often align themselves with benevolent allies.

Shadow Mastery

This Feature acts as an alteration to the Monks "Ki" feature.

The Fallen can spend their ki to preform incredibly unique feats using their clones.

Swarm of Blows

The creature is considered flanked until start of your next turn, and you may make two additional attacks as a free action. The additional attacks must be treated as unarmed until 10th level.

Punishing Retaliation

If an adjacent creature attacks you, you may summon a shadow clone to immediately make an attack against it as a free action. If you are hit while under the effect of "Punishing Retaliation" you must make a DC 17 constitution saving throw or lose its effect. This DC is reduced to 15 at level 7, and 12 at level 13. This ability ends at the beginning of your next turn.

The Clone is an exact copy of your character, and is summoned with full ki points. It acts as a summoned creature under your control. The clone takes its turn immediately after you, and disappears immediately after its turn is over. The clones duration is increased by one round at 13th level, and increased by four additional rounds at 20th level. If the Shadow clone takes damage, your character takes half that amount of damage. This ability can only be used once, and is restored after a short or long rest. This ability does not create material copies of items.

Dark Door

You may spend 2 ki points to travel, attack, or grab through a portal. Both Points of this portal must be made within your line of sight, and both must be in an area of dim light or darkness.

One With Darkness

You permanently have advantage to dexterity skill checks and saving throws, using your shadows effortlessly to traverse your environment and move gracefully through the battlefield.
