Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks that practice the Way of the Cosmic Warrior dedicate themselves to using a natural proficiency for manipulating ki flow to manipulate cosmic forces, then use those forces to enhance and specialize their martial arts

These monks utilize their newly developed attunement with the cosmos to manipulate cosmic forces with precise control, and incorporate them into their martial arts. They can also utilize their ki to interact with and manipulate cosmic forces to greater and more precise extents.

Cosmic Awareness

You have reached a heightened state of mind after developing a superior connection with the cosmic energy in all forms and things that exist. As a result you operate with split-second timing and have increased awareness and perception.

  • You can add your Wisdom modifier to to your initiative rolls and while you have ki remaining, you cannot be surprised
  • You can spend 1 ki point to take the Dodge action as a reaction on your turn. When you Dodge, attackers have disadvantage on attack rolls against you even if they are not visible.

Cosmic Fighting Style

You have learned to manipulate the force of gravity and electromagnetic energies for the purposes of combat. When you make an unarmed strike or a weapon attack you can change the damage type it does if it hits to either Force, Lightning, or Radiant damage (your choice). In addition, you learn three new Martial Arts attacks.

Graviton Hammer: Make a special ranged attack with a range of 20 feet multiplied by your proficiency bonus. This attack is considered to be made with a monk weapon that you are proficient with. The damage is Force and the damage die for each attack is a martial arts die.

Fist of the Magnetar: Make a special ranged attack with a range of up to 20 feet multiplied by your proficiency bonus. This attack is considered to be made with a monk weapon that you are proficient with. The damage is Lightning and the damage die for each attack is is a martial arts die.

Light Spear Cannon: Make a special ranged attack with a range of up to 20 feet multiplied by your proficiency bonus. This attack is considered to be made with a monk weapon that you are proficient with. The damage is Radiant and the damage die for each attack is is a martial arts die.

When you take the Attack action on your turn and use one of these attacks, you can spend 1 ki point to make any of the attacks granted by this feature twice as a bonus action. When you gain the Extra Attack feature, each of these attacks qualifies as an attack you can make as part of the Attack action.

Dynamo of Force

Your body becomes conduit for the primordial forces of creation, densely infusing it with celestial energy, creating an aura which bolsters your resilience, and augments the speed and power of your martial arts attacks.

Starting at 6th level, while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus and while you have ki points remaining, when you make an unarmed strike or attack with a monk weapon, add your Wisdom modifier to attack and damage rolls.

Derelict Celestial Body

You have mastery over primordial forces in ways that allow you to create energetic vortices of force that surround you. This ability can be used to propel yourself and distort the space around you, fundamentally changing how you move through space and interact with physical objects

  • You gain a swim speed and a flight speed equal to your walking speed, you hover, and so long as you're not incapacitated, if your movement speed is reduced to 0 feet while you are airborne, you can choose to hover in place.
  • While you have ki remaining, any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit.

Heat Death

Manipulate dark energy to rapidly expand an area of space and reduce the absolute temperature of the environment around you to a point that even the smallest fundamental particles do not have the energy required to move.

Once per turn, if you damage a creature(s) with your martial arts die, you can target one of those creatures and spend 3 ki points to roll 1d4. The creature gains levels of exhaustion equal to the result +2.
