Base Class: Monk
One day as you were channeling your ki energy, you looked inside yourself and came to a sudden realization. Ki flows like the ripples on the surface of the water, and that this aspect of ki can be used to amplify the effects of ki based attacks. By attacking an opponent successively at just the right time, the ripples caused by the last ki attack can be used to cause even more damage to your opponent, which could be stacked indefinitely. In practice though, creating such a large ripple is nearly impossible because if the timing of the next strike is missed, all of the hard work making the previous ripples will be lost, resetting the stack back down to zero...
Ripple Stack Technique
Whenever you hit an enemy with a successful unarmed strike, add +1 hit dice to your stack of compounded attacks. Thereafter any successive unarmed attack made will deal damage equal to the rolls of the number of hit dice found in your stack. Any unarmed strike made that fails to roll damage on an opponent causes your stack to reset down to your base hit dice damage. Additionally, any attack made that is not unarmed, or is not directed towards the same opponent will cause the stack to reset down to base damage. The base hit dice increases with a player's level according to the Monk chart. Flurry of Blows attacks are counted towards the stack.
Sacrificial Waves
Harnessing 3 ki points as an action, you can choose to attack yourself with an unarmed strike (current stack included) dealing, to yourself, the damage of that unarmed strike. At the beginning of your next turn, you can use the ripples generated by the attack to yourself to compound your body's healing ability and heal yourself for double the damage that you dealt to yourself. (i.e. if you did 6 damage, you will gain 12 hp for a total healing of 6 hp).
Reverberating Ki
Beginning at 11th level, when an attack is missed, a player may choose to expend 2 ki points to suspend the dissipation of the ki ripples within their target. This keeps the stack from dispersing until either the next attack is made on the opponent, or the end of the players next turn.
Tsunami Palm
At the 17th level, you gain the ability to sacrifice your current stack to cause a tremendous disruption of the ki within your opponent's body. if your opponent is within the same plane and you have a stack built up of at least +1, you can sacrifice 5 ki points to cause the wave within your opponent's ki to suddenly collapse within them. The opponent must make a wisdom saving throw, taking 2 times the damage of your sacrificed stack upon failure, and 1 times the damage on a success. No matter the results of the attack, the stack is reset to 0.
