The power flow martial art was designed deal with various situations of close combat using solid defence and devastating retribution.

Stances of Power

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your ki to activate one of the following stances. Stances can be switched by spending the necessary ki points, but only one may be active at a time. These stances can only be used when not wielding weapons, shields and not wearing any armor:

Adamantine Stance. As a bonus action, by spending 1 ki point you may enter this stance until the end of your next turn. While in this stance you may add 1d6 of blugeoning damage, to your unarmed strikes, but they have disavantage to hit. Futhermore, by spending an additional ki point you gain resistance to blugeon, piercing and slashing damage  from non magical weapons for the duration.

Deflection Stance. As a bonus action, by spending 1 ki point you may enter this stance for one minute. While in this stance you gain +2 to your AC and each creature that's fails a melee against you loses 2 AC until the end of their next turn. By spending an additional ki point, as a reaction, in response to a failed melee attack against you, you may retaliate with another melee attack with advantage.

Grappling Stance. As a bonus action, by spending 1 ki point you may enter this stance for one minute. While in this stance you can use the Grappler feat if you don't already have it and gain advantage on ability checks used for grappling. If a Creature restrained by you, fails two attempts to escape the grapple in a row, you may spend an addtional ki point to decrease either their maximum Strength or maximum Dexterity by 3, to a maximum of 1, until they finish a long rest or is healed back to full. The creature is released when the effect is applied.

Pacing Stance. As a bonus action, by spending 1 ki point you may enter this stance until the end of your next turn. While in this stance, you move at double speed as long as you're not moving in a straight line. By spending an additional ki point, you also double your proficiency for dexterity saving throws for the duration.

Heart Overclocking

At 6th level, you gain the ability to accelerate your heart beat by using ki. As a bonus action you may spend 1 ki points to cast haste on yourself without requiring components or to maintain concentration. Adicionally, you gain one of the following benefits while the required stance is active:

Adamantine Stance. Your attacks for this stance no longer suffer disavantage.

Deflecting Stance. Creatures have disavantage on melee attack rolls against you.

Grappling Stance. Creatures grappled by you have disavantage in checks for escaping your grapples.

Pacing Stance. Having to not move in a straight line is no longer a requirement. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

You may use this ability once per short or long rest.

Hybrid Stance

Beginning at 11th level, you can now have up to two active stances, as long as you spend the necessary ki points for each. Furthermore, by spending the necessary ki points, each stance gains an additional effect:

Adamantine Stance. By spending an additional ki point, you gain advantage on strength and constitution saving throws while this stance is active.

Deflection Stance. By spending an additional ki point, as a reaction, when a creature misses a melee attack against you, they lose their balance and are knocked prone.

Grappling Stance. By spending an additional ki point, creatures restrained by you that fail two attempts to escape your hold in a roll become unconscious until the end of their next turn. Only applies for creatures that need to breathe.

Pacing Stance. By spending an additional ki point, you don't trigger attacks of oportunity while this stance is active.

Fiendsbane

At 17th level, you gain the ability to have all four stances active at the same time and combine them in a single technique, as long as you spent the necessary ki points. While all stances are active, by spending 1 ki point you may use your reaction to negate the damage you would take from a single melee attack from a creature within 5ft from you, then make a melee attack against the attacking creature with advantage and add the previously negated damage to your own. The attacked creature is also sent flying up to 10ft away from you and is prone.
