Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Sands of Time specialise in refining their already exceptionally fast reflexes to superhuman levels. They can perceive the passage of mere seconds as if it was hours, allowing them to react with lightning speed and plan counter-attacks in the blink of an eye. These monks use their lightning quick speed and reactions to dodge every attack and land flurries of blows faster than the eye can see.

Lightning Reflexes

At 3rd level you can take an additional reaction each round.

At 11th level this increases to two additional reactions

Move Between Heartbeats

You've learned to react in the moments between heartbeats, allowing you to subtly change the outcome of events in your favour. Starting at 3rd level, whenever you make an attack or saving throw, but before you know the outcome of the roll, you may spend 2 ki points to roll your martial arts die and add the number rolled to the result. You may only use this ability once per attack roll or saving throw.

Temporal Transfer

At 6th level, you can use your ki to move temporal energy between yourself and another creature. If you hit the same creature with your unarmed strike twice in the same turn, you can use your bonus action to spend 4 ki points to cast the slow spell targeting that creature, and the haste spell targeting yourself, without providing material components for either spell. If the target creature succeeds on their saving throw, both spells fail.

You maintain concentration on both spells as if concentrating on a single spell; failing your Constitution saving throw causes both spells to end. Additionally, if an effect would cause either spell to end, such as dispel magic or being in an anti-magic field, both spells end.

Eject from the Timestream

Starting at 11th level you can use your Ki to disrupt the flow of time around your foe, using your strikes to push them forward in time. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can spend 3 ki points to attempt to cast the banishment, targeting that creature, without providing material components.

Any creature affected by this spell always reappears in the space it left or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied, regardless of its plane of origin.

Weave Fate

Starting at 17th level, you have learned to use your ki to alter the flow of time to ensure events play out in your favour. Whenever a creature you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, you may use your reaction to expend ki to attempt to alter the flow of time in your favour, forcing the creature to roll an additional die, you choosing which result is used. This ability costs 1 ki plus 1 more for each time you've used this ability that round (1 ki the first time, 2 the second time and so on)
