Monk
Base Class: Monk

Starting at third level, you gain the ability to spend 2 ki points to enter a known stance as a bonus action. Whilst in a stance you gain certain benefits and weaknesses that enhance your abilities. You can spend a ki point to change to a different stance as a bonus action while in a stance or to exit a stance and revert to a normal state. Stances can be sustained for a number of minutes equal to your monk level, after which the spirit of the channelled animal disperses.

3rd Level Stances

Starting at third level, you gain access to the Stances feature. You learn two stances of third level now, and one more at sixth level in this subclass.

Stance of the Bear

Stance of the Bear: You gain advantage on strength checks and can add strength to damage rolls on top of dexterity. Your AC drops to 10 plus wisdom, overriding unarmoured defence.

Stance of the Beetle

Way of the Beetle: You gain +1 AC and can replace one attack on your turn with a charging attack. This attack can only be done if you move a minimum of 10 ft before reaching your target. The attack uses the stats of an unarmed strike. If this attack lands the target must succeed on a strength or dexterity save or be thrown 10 ft in a direction of your choice. You have disadvantage on wisdom and intelligence checks and saving throws while in this stance.

Stance of the Crane

Stance of the Crane: You can either shove an enemy ten ft away from you, or leap 10 ft in any direction when using flurry of blows. This movement occurs after the attacks. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity, nor does it count against your movement for the turn. You have advantage on dexterity saving throw. Your movement speed is decreased by 10 ft.

Stance of the Frog

Stance of the Frog: Your standing leap becomes equal to your movement and your movement speed increases by 10 ft. You gain a climbing speed and swimming speed equal to half your movement speed and can breathe underwater.  You have disadvantage on strength checks while in this stance.

Stance of the Tortoise

Stance of the Tortoise: You can gain +2 AC as a reaction when targeted by an attack till the start of your next turn. You can use deflect missiles to deflect spell attack spells. Your spell attack bonus is wisdom plus proficiency bonus. You can't add dexterity or strength to damage rolls.

6th Level Stances

At 6th level you learn a stance of 6th level. You also learn another 3rd level stance.

Stance of the Elephant

Stance of the Elephant: Your size counts as one size larger when determining carrying capacity and you gain advantage on constitution saves while in this stance. You gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level when entering this stance and resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage. You have disadvantage on dexterity saves and stealth checks.

Stance of the Shark

Stance of the Shark: You gain a swimming speed equal to your movement speed and can breath underwater. At the start of your turn, if you are within 5 ft of an enemy who is not on maximum HP you can enter a bloodthirsty rage and gain advantage on all your attacks. Enemies have advantage on attacks against you while in this rage. The rage lasts till the start of your next turn where it can be declared again if the conditions are met. You have disadvantage on wisdom checks and saves while blood-thirsty.

Stance of the Snake

Stance of the Snake: You can make a dexterity based grapple check instead of an attack when you take the attack action. While grappling a creature you can make a special unarmed strike against it which forces a CON save. If failed the creature becomes prone and the grapple ends. Your movement speed is halved while in this stance.

Stance of the Spider

Stance of the Spider: You gain a climbing speed equal to your movement speed. Your unarmed strikes deal an extra 1D6 of poison damage. Your AC becomes 10+DEX while in this stance.

11th Level Stances

At the 11th level you learn a powerful new stance, as well as another stance of 6th level.

Stance of the Eagle

Stance of the Eagle: You gain a flying speed equal to half your movement speed. You have advantage on wisdom checks and saving throws and have true sight of 120 ft. You gain a +1 to hit and damage rolls with ranged weapons, including deflected missiles. You have disadvantage on CON saves.

Stance of the Octopus

Stance of the Octopus: You can make an additional attack as part of the attack action on your turn, or two additional attacks if using flurry of blows. The range of your unarmed strikes becomes 10 ft. You provoke opportunity attacks when entering enemy range.

Stance of the Tiger

Stance of the Tiger: You have advantage on stealth and survival checks and your vision becomes a 20ft cone while in this stance, but you have advantage on perception checks based on smell and hearing. You gain a sneak attack that functions the same as the rogues, but it does damage equal to 2 martial arts die. This feature can only be used once every 2 turns.

Master of Stances

At 17th level, you learn to flow between and in and out of your stances with ease. Entering a stance now only costs 1 Ki and changing between and exiting stances costs no Ki. In addition, you can spend 2 Ki points to simultaneously enter two stances of 3rd level, gaining the effects of both.
