Base Class: Monk
Very few have completely mastered the Way of the Gambit and the ones who do are nearly unbeatable.
Dodging Strike
Starting at 3rd Level, you can use your Reaction to deflect or catch the melee when you are hit by a melee weapon Attack. When you do so, the damage you take from the Attack is reduced by 1d 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level.
If you reduce the damage to 0, you can catch the attack if it is small enough for you to hold in one hand and you have at least one hand free. If you catch a melee in this way, you can spend 1 ki point to make a melee Attack (range 5 feet) with the weapon you just caught, as part of the same Reaction. You make this Attack with proficiency, regardless of your weapon Proficiencies, and the attack counts as a monk weapon for the Attack.
Miracle Dodge
At 6th level you can use a reaction to channel your key to make a shield. This costs 3 ki points. The shield gives you immunity to piercing damage, and a +3 to armor class. This effect lasts one reaction.
Shield of Power
Starting at 11th level, you’ve honed your awareness and reflexes through mental aptitude and pattern recognition. Once per turn, if you’ve already taken your reaction, you may spend 1 ki point to take an additional attack as a reaction
Blocking Strike
Upon reaching 17th level, you’ve gained the knowledge to temporarily lower a creature’s fortitude by hitting your shield. Whenever you you block a creature with one of the attacks granted by your shield, you can spend 2 ki points to cause the creature to suffer a vulnerability to a damage type of your choice for 1 minute, or until they take damage of that type. A creature who is affected by this feature cannot be affected by it again for 24 hours.
