Monks of The Way of the Illusive Fox are the Masters of Avoiding enemies attacks and redirecting them back. They learn techniques that distract their enemies and destroy their resolve, manipulate ki to lighten their body to move faster and better, and practice advanced movement arts.

Distracting Strikes Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your ki to disorient your foes. whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by flurry of blows, you can apply one of the following effects to yourself:

  • You take the dodge action
  • all enemies in 5 feet of you must make a wisdom saving throw or attack you with disadvantage until the start of your next turn
  • you can take reactions equal to your wisdom modifier until the start of your turn

at 6th level, learn how to master stepping lightly you gain advantage on initiative and stealth roles

 

Vanishing Step

at 11th level, you master the art of deceiving your foes about your location. when an enemy hits you with an attack and you can see them, you can spend 1 ki point and use your reaction to move up to half your movement away. this cause the attack to miss and the movement does not cause opportunity attacks. once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Invisible Strikes

at 17th level, you gain the ability to always strike foes in their blind spots. when you hit an enemy with an unarmed strike you can spend 1 ki to make it a critical hit. additionally you have mastered quick and hidden movement. you no longer provoke opportunity attacks and your speed is increased by an additional 20ft on top of unarmored movement.
