Monk
Base Class: Monk

In your extensive training, you have somehow linked to a mythical structure known as the Tower of Barbs, filled with ancient, evil souls. In this place, your soul learned to fight with whatever you could get your hands on, as well as learning to make do with what you have. Your knowledge that everything is temporary and your subsequent detachment from material possessions has earned you the admiration of Death itself! Now use your newfound proficiency, and fight on!

Survivalist in the Barbs

Your time in the tower has taught you to use whatever you can to survive. You gain proficiency with improvised weapons, and can roll a perception check with advantage during long rests to find tools that could be used as improvised weapons.

Haterfication

If you do actually die, you instantly come back as an undead Hater, possessed by the spirit of the Tower of Barbs. You must turn over your character sheet to the DM, and your character becomes a hostile enemy. If the party is able to kill you, and keep you in one piece, you can come back to life with one HP, but without any of the gear you have collected, going back to only your starting equipment.

Scavenger

In the tower, you learned to scavenge around to find food and other boons to your health and well-being. Once per short rest, you can roll on the table to determine exactly what you have scavenged up to be used to your advantage.

Scavenge Table
(d4) Shroom
1 Heartshroom: You scavenged up a healthy, edible mushroom! You can eat this at any time to recover health up to 1d4 + your constitution modifier.
2 Crushroom: You scavenged up a mushroom that makes you feel way stronger! For 1 minute, you have advantage on strength saving throws and melee attacks.
3 Boomshroom: You scavenged up an explosive mushroom! You can make a ranged weapon attack with this mushroom which can deal 2d10 fire damage in a 5 ft. radius.
4 Guardshroom: You found an armored mushroom! Eating this mushroom grants you a +2 to your AC for ten minutes.

Marks of Power

You have found out how to create marks of power on yourself, known as 'Skill Decals', giving you certain bonuses. You gain two at 8th level, and then two more at 14th.

Electro-Sheep

You gain advantage against and breaking out of paralysis.

Hide and Seek

Once per short rest, you can gain advantage on Stealth rolls for ten minutes.

Legendary Hero

When your health is completely full, you gain temporary advantage on Strength and Constitution checks.

Living on the Edge

Instead of making death saving throws, when you hit 0 HP, you go back up to 1HP and can get back up on your feet. You can use this feature once per long rest.

Marathon Runner

Once per short rest, you can dash as a bonus action without taking opportunity attacks.

Poison Eater

You gain health equal to the poison damage an attack or item would usually do.

Raging Bull

When you are at 10 health or lower, you gain advantage on Strength and Constitution rolls and checks, as well as advantage on melee attacks.

Vampire Queen

When you reduce a creature within 5 ft. of you to 0 HP, you gain {{(modifier:wis)+classlevel}} temp HP. Furthermore, said enemy has a chance to explode if they were defeated. After defeating an enemy and using this ability, roll a d10. On a 5 or below, nothing happens, but on a 6 or above, the enemy explodes, damaging everyone but you in a 10 ft. radius for 3d10 fire damage.

Death's Favorite Fighter

Death seems to have taken a real liking to you! Instead of dying and becoming a Hater, you can instead pay up all of your remaining ki points to the reaper to come back immediately with one health and keep all of your gear. If you have no ki points, you cannot pay, and become a Hater.

Rage of the Barbs

Starting at 17th level, you can channel the rage of the planet itself coursing through the Tower of Barbs. As an action, you can fly into a dangerous rage. You gain resistance to piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage, and your attacks do an extra d10 of necrotic damage. You can spend up to 10 ki points to increase how many extra d10's you can do each round.
